While deer hunting on a steep timbered slope in the evening, the witness noticed movement about 70 yards away. The dark, tall figure was judged too tall to be a deer and moved briskly through the trees for about 40 yards without making sound despite dry, crunchy conditions, then turned downhill and disappeared from sight.

The witness and a companion were driving on a skid trail while hunting in the morning. They saw a large bipedal hairy figure walking in a clearcut that stopped and stared at them briefly before walking into the trees. The witness, experienced with large game animals, said they had never seen anything like it and they left the area quickly.

Hunters encounter creature cross road and run down bank

Two people in a truck heading to hunt before dawn encountered an animal they first thought was a bear. The animal came down a bank onto the road about 10 yards in front of the truck, paused to look, then went down the bank on the opposite side. Its eyes reflected bright yellow in the headlights and it moved downhill over steep terrain at very high speed when the passenger started to exit the truck.

Campers see large, black, hairy creature walk in front of headlights at campsite

The witness was camping with a large group near a cabin and went with three or four companions to explore the woods at night. From a ridge above their parked vehicles, the men watched a large hairy figure walk between them and the headlights, blocking the lights briefly at each vehicle before walking away slowly. The group returned to the cabin and spent the night feeling watched.

The reporter found a single set of tracks at the edge of a freshwater lake where underwater plants appeared to have been stripped. On a return visit about two weeks later in early October 1999, there were three sets of different-sized tracks at the same lake-edge location. The reporter photographed and videotaped the tracks, later found no further sign in November and December, and lost the tracks to weather before a cast could be made.

Footprints and trail observed along a road

The witness and a passenger stopped their truck so the passenger could urinate. After getting out, they found large footprints beside the truck, in front of it on the road, and in dirt to the left of the road. They also noticed a worn trail through young fir trees that they believed had been used for a long time.

Deer Hunter watches a bigfoot run across a field and into the forest behind him

While bow-hunting deer from a tree stand at approaching dark, the witness saw a dark figure run quickly through brush and across openings, covering in seconds ground that had taken minutes to walk. The figure was described as taller than the witness and black all over with a hump on its back. Afterward the witness left quickly and learned a hunting companion nearby had heard movement but seen nothing, and checkout staff said no other hunters were in the area.

A witness went to fill deer feeders in a river bottom in late afternoon and found a feeder tangled in a tree. While investigating, the witness followed glimpses of a shaggy animal through thick cover to a river crossing where it stepped into the open and was seen upright for about 10 seconds before leaving. After it left, the witness heard a loud snap behind and left the area.

While riding as a passenger east on I-40 near Hydro, Oklahoma, the witness saw a very large black hair-covered biped emerge from a treeline. The creature walked to a creek, squatted at the edge, and moved a hand in the water before the witness lost sight of it. The observation lasted about five seconds in clear early-evening conditions from two to three football fields away.

The witness and a relative were walking in a meadow below ranch buildings around dusk when they heard a prolonged loud screaming vocalization from nearby trees and heard movement circling the meadow. They retreated to ranch buildings and continued hearing vocalizations around the ranch overnight. The next day they found no tracks on frozen ground but found a large handprint with long fingers on a food storeroom door.

Hunting couple has visual and auditory encounter near coast

During a day of deer hunting, the witness saw a face-like form crouched under a fir tree about 100 yards away that she felt resembled drawn depictions of Sasquatch. Later that evening she and her husband heard prolonged loud howling and screaming from the timberline that stopped abruptly when her husband stood to leave. They left without seeing the source of the sound and later interpreted the face, odor mentioned earlier in the day, and vocalizations as related.

Large animal lures men away from possible younger animal near Mt. St. Helens

Four relatives drove to the Mt. St. Helens area to look for Bigfoot in poor winter weather. From a viewpoint, a relative using a spotting scope watched a large dark upright figure move across a distant meadow and later return with a smaller figure first mistaken for a stump. The group searched the area without regaining visual contact. Shortly afterward at a nearby creek, the driver found a large bare footprint in mud and made a plaster cast of it.

Tracks found near a lake by witnesses

The witness reports finding tracks in soft soil at the edge of a freshwater lake in early October 1999, first a single set and then about two weeks later three sets of different sizes. The tracks were where large-leafed underwater plants were growing, and the plants appeared stripped from the water where the tracks were found. The witness photographed and videotaped the tracks and area, but weather destroyed the tracks before a cast could be made, and later visits in November and December found no further sign.

Late at night the witness was driving home from a second-shift job along a rural road by Mud Creek. The headlights illuminated a tall, greyish hairy figure standing on two legs and leaning on a wire fence beside a cornfield. After a few seconds the figure turned and ran on two legs into the corn toward nearby woods.

Two people camped in their truck on a logging road above a clearcut and ravine to follow up on an earlier vocal report. Starting at dusk they heard loud cracking and branch-breaking from the ravine below, sounding like something pacing along the treeline. The sounds continued through the evening and stopped about midnight.

The witness was hunting with relatives in very cold conditions with some snow and noticed a human-like footprint in mud. The witness showed it to a relative and they initially joked about Bigfoot. On reflection about its remote location they tried to find it again but could not relocate it.

The witness walked into an abandoned gravel pit area to gather firewood and saw a large bulky animal in a gully about 50 yards away standing on two legs. The animal's back was turned and its head remained hidden by foliage while it appeared to dig in bushes. When the witness retreated toward the truck, the animal climbed the opposite slope on two legs using its forearms and disappeared into trees at the top.

While driving at night the witness and a companion saw a tall dark figure dart across the road in front of oncoming fire trucks. The figure reportedly ran on two legs with long strides and ape-like arm swings, crossing from a cornfield into brush and woods. The witnesses interpreted it as a frightened animal rather than a person and later found no tracks at the site.

The witness reports stopping a car on a wooded road at night to urinate and seeing an animal on all fours about 40 yards away that was first mistaken for a deer. The creature then stood on two legs, made a loud unfamiliar noise, and was viewed in the headlights as tall, hair-covered, and red-eyed. After the witness honked, it reportedly screamed again and ran into the trees.
