The witness was hiking down into high lake country when a strong bad odor caught attention. About 15 to 20 feet away at the tree line, an upright dark-haired creature stood looking at the witness. The creature turned and quickly left over a small hill into forest cover within seconds. The frightened witness left the area westward and has not returned.

The tracks were described as much larger and wider than size 12 boots and having four toes on both feet. A companion agreed they were too large to be from a man, and they left the area.
