BC family sees a possible family group of sasquatch
The witness was on a family drive for hiking near Ashnola when the group heard loud screaming and howling from the forest that the son compared to alleged sasquatch sounds heard online. A car horn blast stopped the sounds. The group then drove about a quarter mile and the witness stopped to examine old large footprints in snow in the middle of the road.
Possible sighting at a farm outside Victoria (Vancouver Island)
The witness and two companions were walking near a bonfire when they saw a dark figure run across a horse field. The figure was inside the fence line and reportedly cleared a 5-foot fence at the end of the field. It was viewed from about 60 feet for about 7 seconds and described as nearly 6 feet tall, about 265 lbs, and all black.

The witness claims that while driving to work late at night in light rain, he saw a tall hair-covered figure standing motionless behind a guardrail near a bridge. He turned around to look again, but it was gone. He states he drives the route regularly and was certain the figure did not belong there.

The witness and a relative were at their workplace near forest and a creek when the relative called the witness to the back door. They watched a large black hairy bipedal creature run very fast down a hill toward the woods. The sighting lasted about ten seconds from about two hundred feet away.

Three people were camping overnight in a tent on private woodland. During the night one person left the tent with indigestion and rekindled the campfire while the others remained inside. All three then heard a loud high-pitched yelp from the woods immediately around the campsite, prompting the person outside to rush back into the tent. The group stayed quiet and heard nothing further.
Possible encounter while backpacking in the Hoosier National Forest
Three people were camped overnight in a valley when they heard a deep growl followed by a howl. They then heard large branches or trees snapping and being thrown toward camp, followed by sounds of a small animal in distress and then silence. Finally they heard something large running away through the woods, breaking branches and rustling leaves. They saw nothing in the darkness and could not identify the source.

After dark the witness went down to a lake dock to remove a battery charger from a bass boat and shined a spotlight across the cove. He noticed a tall dark figure in 6 to 7 foot grass, whistled at it and heard a different whistle returned. The witness was hunting from a tree stand in the late afternoon when he heard very loud, unfamiliar yells from about 150-200 yards away. The yells repeated minutes later from apparently closer. He then watched a small sapling whip violently side to side for about a minute while surrounding grasses did not move similarly. Feeling uneasy as darkness approached, he climbed down and left the woods without ever seeing the source.

Two campers on a sandbar heard a loud scream, heavy bipedal footsteps and splashes in the creek after dark. When they left the tent with flashlights they saw large green eyes without visible pupils a short distance away on their path. After verbal warnings shots were fired toward the eyes, which advanced a few steps instead of fleeing, prompting the pair to call for help to leave the woods.

On a cool afternoon in February 2007, the witness and a companion hiked in the woods to look for clues about strange activity. Five or six howls followed as the source moved over a mile in about two minutes, seeming to face the witness while moving downhill. Late at night the witness stepped outside the house and heard a low, loud whooing vocalization coming from the river bottoms that lasted about a minute. As soon as the sound stopped, neighborhood dogs and distant coyotes began barking and howling at once. The witness stayed inside that night and found nothing further when checking the tree line the next morning.

The witness, age 16, snuck out at night to meet his girlfriend halfway along a dark rural road. He saw a large hairy figure standing by the roadside and ran past it. The figure stayed still until he got close, then crashed away into dense woods.

The witness had recently moved to Washington and went to the Nisqually River with a parent to fish. While the parent fished in the river, the witness sat on a rocky bank and heard repeated movement in brush behind. Looking back, the witness saw foliage moving as if breathing and then a large eye with a reddened white. The witness shouted to leave and they hiked back to the vehicle; the shape was gone when they looked back and the parent had not seen it.

The witness was playing at the edge of a barn light in a pasture when heavy footfalls were heard from the timber edge. A loud exhale was followed by an extremely loud scream or roar. The witness ran to the house where a parent, who had heard the sound from inside, met them at the door.

The witness was driving at night on a highway near Shingletown when the truck headlights illuminated a tall, dark, upright figure crossing the road. The figure reportedly walked with a very long stride and swinging arms, glanced toward the truck, then went up a roadside embankment and disappeared before the witness could speak to the passenger.

In late summer 2006, two companions fishing from a canoe in the middle of a remote mountain lake heard a very loud, long growl-yell coming from a hillside. They froze and visually scanned the hillside for several minutes but saw no movement and heard no further sounds, then packed up and left. The witness stated neither person had heard a similar sound despite extensive time outdoors.
