As a teenager the guest was walking his dog on a day-use-only road with a weak flashlight. The dog became erratic, and the light revealed red eyes about 20 yards away on an incline. The tall figure backed up and walked away, and the witness and dog left for home.

The witness's sister rode her bike at night past a pasture and tree line and felt something following her. She first thought it might be a cow, but local cows are skittish and run from people. She could not identify what it was and was frightened.

Late at night while photographing on the porch, the witness felt watched then heard a single grunt like a pig and horse combined near trees, later heard again behind her brother's house. Chickens were frightened with one laying prematurely, dogs barked, and her brother came out with a light and firearm. Around the same period a newly nailed chicken-pen roof was ripped back, mulch buckets were moved without spilling, finger-like swipes appeared in a bucket, and she often felt watched near the barn and swing set.

About two weeks after the roof sighting, the witness walked the same direction at dusk and heard very loud monkey-like noises from a wooded lot. She first thought it was a movie from a nearby trailer, but windows and doors were closed and the sound came from the trees. The noise stopped as she neared, then resumed after she passed, and she hurried away without looking.
