A couple staying overnight in a yurt woke around 2 a.m. to loud howls coming from the east across the river lasting several minutes. About half an hour later they heard louder, closer hollering vocalizations from the woods to the west. They stated the sounds were unfamiliar and unlike a bear, coyote, or bobcat.

Three people sleeping in a tent while camping were awakened around 3:39 a.m. by loud knocks. Over nearly an hour they heard five to six sets of triple knocks coming from multiple directions and distances, each set ending with a grunt or exhaling animal-like sound. The closest sounds were estimated about 50 yards uphill, and the witnesses felt the sounds seemed like communication between intelligent creatures. They left around daylight and agreed not to camp at that spot again.

One heard it twice and the other heard it four times, and they disagreed about the direction it came from. Their dog acted nervous during the sounds and then settled. The witness was walking with a dog on a dirt road in the early evening when the dog became agitated and aggressive. The witness heard grunting and movement in nearby woods, then saw a large hair-covered biped rise from behind a fallen tree and retreat into the woods. The dog chased the creature while the witness ran home, and the dog returned later unharmed. A strong road-kill-like odor was noted around the time of the sighting.

The witness family was bank fishing after dark while their daughter imitated owls. An owl flew closely past them, immediately followed by an extremely loud, chest-vibrating roar from nearby cover that lasted several seconds. Frogs and insects went silent for a time, then slowly resumed, and the family left shortly afterward.

After a period of silence with rustling and a loud snap, they got into their car to leave. While driving away they saw a large dark upright figure with glowing yellowish-orange eyes near the road and noticed a strong musk odor.

The witness was helping clear land on a forested property when they left companions during a lunch break to explore a ravine and entered a cave containing a large nest of fabric and vegetation. After exiting the cave and moving a short distance away, they heard a huff and saw the head and upper body of a hair-covered creature watching from rocks above the cave. The witness fled uphill to rejoin the companions.

One hunter returned alone to retrieve a phone and heard pacing footsteps, a very loud voice repeating a name, and a laugh, then saw a huge dark shape in tall weeds and fired twice before fleeing. Both hunters were then circled for hours by fast-moving unseen things that stayed out of flashlight range, threw out a poisoned hot dog that was quickly taken by something running on two legs that coughed like a person, and found the heavy welded stand ripped from the tree in the morning.

As they returned to the car in the dark they encountered a strong foul odor, heard heavy running footsteps ending with a thud near a gully, and heard a grating voice-like sound before driving away.

Animals and birds were seen moving away from the sounds while branches were seen and heard breaking nearby, followed by a loud splash. Believing the source was upset by their presence, they left the area and the witness reports not returning to fish there.

Over several days and nights they reported heavy impacts, rustling, a skunk-like odor, red eyeshine, wood knocks, whistles, talk-like mumbling, a whoop-ending vocalization, and bent trees and branch structures. The most intense moment was a predawn episode with a deep guttural roar followed by a scream-like sound near camp. They left early after smelling the odor again near a plum thicket.
