While on an evening walk he heard a brief coyote chorus followed by two mid-pitch "AH,OO" calls from farther in the same direction. After returning to camp he heard additional "AH,OO" and high-pitched "WOW" calls from the same direction, totaling six odd calls, then heard nothing more by 9 PM.
