Two people driving on a gravel road around midday saw a hairy biped run across the road about a block ahead near a low-water bridge over a creek. The passenger looked up late and saw it only briefly before it entered the woods, while the driver reportedly got a better look. The witness estimated it at about five feet tall with reddish hair and emphasized its unusual speed.

The witness was searching for veterans' graves in a cemetery in the early evening when they noticed movement to the northeast along the tree line. At first thinking it was a deer, the witness then perceived a very large, dark, bipedal human-shaped figure watching from the shadows about 100 to 150 yards away. Feeling watched, the witness backed away to their car and left.

Girls at a sleepover woke early in foggy conditions and saw something big and black fighting with something else near the schoolyard swings, assuming it was a dog. After hearing rustling in the woods, the witness observed a tall hairy figure in profile moving very quickly on two legs with its arms swaying. The relative did not see the figure. The witness initially considered a bear but rejected that idea because the figure lacked bear-like ears and a snout.

After hooking something heavy that fought like a living animal, he watched it stand upright in the river about 30 feet below the boat, waist-deep with its arms moving as it worked free of the hook. The interviewer heard repeated charging sounds, footfalls and a grunt-growl from dense brush a few feet away while two teammates uphill watched with a night-vision device. The uphill observers reported a huge 8-foot-plus figure about 25 feet away leaning side to side to look through the trees and moving its arms. The episode lasted about 30 minutes, followed later by a distant scream, and a next-day search found disturbed soil but no footprints.

The witness was hiking with dogs on a packed snow trail when other dogs began barking at something ahead. He saw a gorilla-like furry creature sitting in the shade of a pine about 50 yards away watching the dogs. After he tripped in a snow hole, the creature left over the ridge, showing only the back of its head. Deep snow prevented him from following or finding tracks.
