Homeowner follows possible track way heading into Lost Nations State Game Area near Hillsdale
The father-in-law found large tracks in snow while going to burn trash and called the reporter. The reporter came over, photographed and measured 17.5-inch prints with strides up to 4.5 feet, and followed them to a steep creek ravine that the maker ascended without slipping. No creature was seen, and a sample of discolored snow was collected.

On the morning of December 15, 2013, a fresh inline trackway was spotted from a kitchen window and four people went out to examine it. They followed the large deep prints from the woods behind the house through the backyard and front yard, down a driveway across neighboring property toward a lake. The prints were described as about 14 inches long with a stride of just over six feet, single-file rather than side-by-side, and uniform in size and shape.

While hunting deer in the late morning, the witness found two sizes of barefoot-like impressions in frozen dirt along the same trail. Some impressions showed five toes with no claw marks. The witness sat in a parked car using a predator call to attract coyotes. Looking in the rearview mirror, they saw a hairy figure peeking from behind a tree about 60 feet away, watching the car, then moving to a second tree before disappearing from view. About 20 minutes later a cow elk walked through the same area, which the witness used to estimate the figure's height at about six feet.

The witness was driving on a trail behind her home in the early evening when she noticed movement in the woods to her left. She reported a brief side view of a tall, dark, hairy bipedal animal running awkwardly into the woods and disappearing. She also heard cracking of dead trees and later found a human-like but boxier footprint in sand that was gone when she returned with a relative.

The witness then saw a large grey shape move quickly and silently between cover, followed by a large splash near the dock. After finding large footprints and noticing fresh fallen trees and a strong odor during an ATV ride, the group heard bipedal steps near base camp late at night. The guest watched a large upright figure sway between trees through night vision, saw it reappear squatting, then lose it as it moved over a ridge. The next morning the team found trampled vegetation where the figure had stood and noted they had audio of the event.

The witness was photographing along the tree line on the south side of the lake when she heard a close grunting-snorting sound followed by a deep growl without seeing the source. Shaken, she returned toward two fishermen and then left across the dam, photographing a large print in the mud. From the car area she heard the same loud vocalization coming from across the lake where she had been and saw the fishermen hurrying across the dam, after which all parties left.

The witness reported ongoing activity near a forested home beginning in early spring 2013. During an initial walk in pines, he heard an extremely loud knock that frightened him and later heard whistles from the woods. He also reported finding multiple large and small track sets. An investigator filed the account on his behalf and continued working with him.

In April 2013 the guest took his teenage son camping at a just-opened campground off Highway 14 along the Columbia River. During a daytime walk they found an old large track, opened clam shells out of place, a fresh vine-maple twist tucked behind a fir, an 18-inch footprint beneath it, and several pushed or tossed trees. That night in camp they heard branch-breaking, felt the tarps pulled, heard splashing, felt vibration waves, and heard two wood knocks before leaving exhausted in the morning.

The witness was walking a puppy along a bikeway when the dog began barking. Ahead, the witness saw a very large dark hairy biped walking along the path shoulder for several seconds before it crossed the path and descended into a wooded gully. The witness left and returned about an hour later with another dog and found and photographed a large footprint where the creature had walked.
