Turkey hunter observes a sasquatch in daylight 2 miles SW of Erwin
The witness was turkey hunting from the base of a tree on a ridge when a tall, dark reddish-brown bipedal figure was seen about 75 yards away for a few seconds before it stepped behind a tree. About 15 minutes later, while still in the same spot, an object struck a tree about 30 yards to the left and fell to the ground sounding like a rock. The witness also noticed a musky odor and reported no further activity that morning.
Two fishermen frightened after dark on Lake Kanawauke
The witness and a companion were in a boat heading toward shore at night when they heard splashes, smelled a foul wet-animal odor, and saw shoreline vegetation shaking violently. A large rock was thrown from shore toward them and landed near the boat. When they shone a flashlight toward shore they saw a large dark human-shaped figure with red glowing eyes partly obscured by vegetation, then yelled and banged oars before retreating to a safer distance and hearing a loud scream or roar as they loaded the boat and left.

Two companions hiking back from a mountain trail claim rocks were thrown toward them from the woods over an extended period, starting with misses above and behind them and later coming close enough to duck. They also report hearing an unidentified whining sound, possible footsteps, knock-like sounds, and a tree being shaken, without ever seeing the source. Near the area they noticed a green limb broken high and left hanging.

The witness was hiking alone on a section of the Appalachian Trail when footsteps began pacing him from off-trail to his left. He glimpsed a dark figure and then rocks began flying past him, prompting him to jog and then sprint toward a road. The pursuer kept pace while breaking saplings and trees before stopping near the road, after which the witness calmed down and returned to his car.

The witness revisited a family property over two days to investigate knocking heard there since childhood. On the first day knocking followed, circled, and retreated from the witness while moving off-trail. On the second day knocking again preceded arrival at a clearing, where the witness heard a snort-like sound near rocks and had several stones thrown overhead until a rifle was assembled, after which the forest went quiet.

The witness took two young relatives camping overnight near an old logging road and storm-damaged trees. During the evening and night the group repeatedly heard unidentified noises and guttural patterned calls that seemed to get responses from farther away. In the morning the companions briefly saw something near bushes that froze then moved into shadow, and the group stopped after hearing a rock crash nearby. No footprints were found on the hard ground.

While caddying on a private golf course in 1960, the witness says a large soil-stained boulder fell vertically through a tree beside the 13th green and nearly struck a golfer. The fall was heard tearing through branches and leaves.
