In the morning the camp was undisturbed and a rock was found in a hammock behind the camper.

The witness inferred a rock had been thrown because the pond lacked large enough fish and nothing floated to the surface, and believed a person could not easily have reached that dense shoreline after heavy rain.

Three people hiking in daylight near a pond had a large rock thrown toward them, with the rock striking a tree. They searched the apparent origin area and found a fresh large bass displayed on a boulder, aligned toward the path, with no other people around. An investigator later documented the rock size and photographed the pond and fish.
