Campers describe stalking, rock-throwing and snapped trees in Lolo National Forest

The witnesses were camped for several weeks near forest land when on multiple nights they heard something large moving in brush and had rocks thrown at a tent. In daylight they found young trees broken off several feet above the ground near the camp and along the road, which they photographed. They first thought a bear was responsible but came to believe the visits were by a sasquatch.

An investigator spoke by phone with two witnesses about the camp and incidents.
An investigator researched nearby wildfire histories and acreage to assess cover and sight lines.
An investigator had previously examined a burn area to the north with little to no evidence of what made reported tracks.
Investigators arranged to meet the witnesses but they did not appear and further contact attempts were blocked.
Investigators drove to the location using the directions given, located the area, and planned a summer return.
