From inside the blind he heard coyotes, then hollering, rock-banging or wood-knock sounds, and whoops as something ran up the slope, crossed the road, and stopped in thick brush behind him. He then heard loud raspy breathing and growling and smelled a strong obnoxious odor for about five minutes before the animal ran away along the treeline and the woods went quiet.

Dogs ran toward the woods barking as brush and limbs thrashed along the edge and heavy thumping footsteps were heard. The witness followed the sounds along the treeline with a rifle before returning to the house and confirming a relative next door had not left home. The witness interpreted the sounds and movement as a sasquatch disturbed in the woods.

He shone the light on a tall, broad, fur-covered figure standing still in brush whose eyes reflected the light. The witness returned with a relative the next day and reported the trees were nine to ten feet tall, with the head just above that level.
