The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.

While fleeing the farm on foot, the witness left the gravel road and became stuck in deep swamp muck and water. A large hairy bipedal female emerged from the tree line, waded to him, lifted him by his jacket, carried him back to the roadside ditch, and left. During one late-night episode, one person looking out from a shelter saw a large shape briefly enter moonlight and then leave. In 1971 the witness was alone watching TV at the parents' rural house near Myrtle Point. After hearing dogs bark, smelling a strong foul odor, and hearing footsteps on an outside plank, she saw a tall hunched hairy female figure pass a glass door. The figure stopped, turned toward her and made eye contact, after which she fainted and was later found on the floor by her parents. Her father searched outside with a flashlight but found nothing.

A man and woman were found dead at Brown Springs, the man with his neck broken and thrown from a car hood and the woman showing signs of assault and abdominal tearing. Large fresh tracks were reported near the gravel road scene. The case was described as unsolved with evidence kept quiet.

In 1968 the witness, then 16, rode a bicycle to explore an unfinished campground area and stopped by a new bathhouse. On returning to the bike, the witness saw an upright creature standing across a split-rail fence about 8 feet away, gripping the top rail and rocking side to side. The face was clearly seen in sunlight while the body remained in tree shade, and the witness left promptly without reporting it at the time.

During summer 1965 the witness was exploring woods near military housing when he found very large barefoot prints in red clay leading into the trees. While on a trail he heard heavy bipedal footsteps that appeared to follow him, stopping when he stopped and rushing toward him, causing him to flee to the housing area. He returned with a friend and both heard the same following footsteps rush toward them before fleeing, with the friend reporting an indistinct large movement in the brush.

Late at night in 1963, the witness and four companions were hunting raccoons with dogs in a creek bottom south of Tyler, Texas. After the dogs treed something, the group illuminated a large reddish-furred animal in a pin oak that was howling and screaming while waving its arms and shaking limbs. After someone fired at it with a .22, it growled and the group fled with the dogs back to their vehicles.

At age 12 the guest and her older cousin went into thick woods near the family lake cabin to pick raspberries and became lost after filling buckets. While arguing about the way out, the guest saw a tall, lean, hairy man-like figure at very close range that studied her, moved its mouth, and held its hands out before looking toward the cousin. The figure then disappeared quickly, and the two children dumped their berries and ran out via a logging road to the grandmother's house, keeping the incident secret for years.

A teenager checking muskrat traps before school with a dog noticed the dog staying close and growling. On a steep bank the witness saw a tall hair-covered figure with a non-human face and a foul smell.
