Later the same night a friend went alone through the breezeway to get beers and noticed a tall backlit shape among trees by the lake. The shape first looked like a tree but then lowered an arm to its side and shifted more upright. The friend ran upstairs pale and frightened and pulled the blinds.

Late at night the witness stepped onto the porch for a smoke and heard an unfamiliar terrifying vocalization. Shining a light, the witness saw the silhouette of a tall bipedal figure near the pond that stood up and ran off, with vocalizations continuing fainter into the distance. A relative living in the house came outside and heard the final vocalization and a distant gunshot, and another relative later arrived to find the area empty.

Two identical-twin brothers hiking through ankle-deep water reached a clearing and found a creature lying on its back that flipped to all fours and sniffed them, appearing confused. It then stood on two legs and shook a tree to intimidate them as they backed out. That night at camp their stacked firewood was moved, and a neighboring camper said he saw two silhouettes moving it.

Years later the first witness was told by a construction worker about a camping trip with others along the same creek. The group saw strange moving lights, felt a sudden whirlwind, then heard growling and tree-breaking and footsteps in the creek as they fled. Headlights later revealed a huge upright silhouette standing by a tree.

For six to eight months an elderly farmer and his wife reported nightly tapping that followed them room to room, shadows outside windows, a barn door torn open, missing dog food and missing outdoor dogs, and a low voice whispering the indoor dog's name. The responding deputy initially suspected neighbors, moonshiners or a grow operation, but later found a large hand-like dent in the house and an 18-inch footprint in the creek that he cast. The cast was later reported to show dermal ridges and to be considered authentic east of the Mississippi.

The witness's brother was driving a tractor home late at night when he noticed two large hair-covered figures walking parallel to the road along a fence line. He described the taller one as about seven to eight feet tall, bulky with long swinging arms, and watched them continue along the timber. The account was relayed secondhand by the reporter along with other nearby reports from the same period.

The witness's grandfather was collecting ore samples at night when he heard heavy human-like footsteps moving around him in the snow. He then saw a large dark shape about 40 feet away. Frightened, he ran to his three-wheeler and fired a shot toward where the shape had been after it disappeared.

As teenagers, the witness and her boyfriend parked in a dirt cul-de-sac in a wooded park to spend time together. They heard heavy footsteps, snapping twigs and rustling circling them in the dark but could see nothing. When they drove away, the witness looked back and saw a tall, broad, long-armed silhouette step into the light under a street lamp, prompting them to flee. She later heard that a woman's mutilated body was found in the park, after which the park was placed under a nighttime curfew.

The witness's father was walking down a trail at night when he saw a large shadow standing in the middle of the trail. It made a loud noise twice that shook him inside. Though armed and experienced outdoors, he turned and ran.

Over five years teaching juvenile offenders, the guest heard from many unrelated youths about strange activity in the facility. They refused basement supply runs, reported balls of light in hallways, and woke at night to see a dark figure watching from the corner of their rooms.

The guest relays community reports from about six or seven years before the show during the busy annual Native powwow. People repeatedly sighted a creature near town by the creek standing in shadows watching people, prompting warnings to watch children.

While clearing land the mother-in-law washed dishes in a travel trailer at sunset when something thumped the trailer and stared through the window from inches away. After it left on heavy footsteps she and her father saw its silhouette swaying by the burning slash pile.

Within about a week of the wood knocks, the spouse called the witness home from nearby work after seeing a tall man-like shape outside the kitchen window staring in. When the spouse glanced down and back up, it was gone. A later trail camera set for an intruder captured nothing.

On a later occasion in fog, the daughter was in the run-in behind the house and saw silhouettes of creatures moving back and forth. The same strange noise was heard. The speaker states the two fog episodes were about a year apart.

A friend of the guest was gathering mushrooms in the mountains and saw a giant shadow on the hillside. He shot at it, but it did not appear affected and simply turned and walked away.

At the Michigan house the family repeatedly heard knocks, whoops and howls. Around 2-3 AM the father saw a large black figure cross the field and road and called the sheriff. After the sheriff fled and returned with military trucks there was heavy automatic gunfire, and the father and son later found large amounts of blood and bullet-riddled trees.
