The lead individual was described as a 6.5-foot light-brown male walking hunched, followed about 15 yards behind by a 5.5-foot black female with breasts who appeared to be holding something at her waist. Both were said to walk without locking their knees.

A tall white-covered creature with dark skin on the face and hands stood nearby with a hand on a tree and was observed for about 30 seconds. Two men checking trap lines on a quiet afternoon in early September 1998 encountered a hair-covered creature at about 100 feet. The creature watched them briefly before running uphill into the forest. On July 16, 1997, a tour guide driving tourists along a road stopped near a burned-out bridge and watched an upright, hair-covered creature for about 15 minutes from 70 to 80 yards away. The guide moved the bus forward and backward to give passengers views and tried to get a passenger with a telephoto lens to exit for photos, but no one would leave. The guide then drove away and could not relocate the creature on a later return.

A mother driving her son home at night watched a very large hair-covered animal cross the road in the headlights about 150 feet away. The witnesses saw it from the neck down, describing a bulky build, dark coloration, a swinging left arm, and crossing the road in about two and a half steps. After a multi-day wait, a recovery team forced open the craft, found three seats and no conventional controls, and moved it to an underground facility.

A family camping at an abandoned mining camp near a military range boundary was told by military personnel to leave due to an escaped convict, but the personnel left for another call. Shortly after, the father was attacked from behind while the mother drove away with the children after hearing screaming and seeing a monster-like pursuer. The father died, his body was recovered inside the range, and years later the son learned from a supervisor that an escaped non-human entity had killed him.

After a tire blowout, mist, humming and slowed perception, they stopped and hid in brush where a saucer landed and three floating beings took the two children aboard. The parents sought help at a military gate while the children were found the next morning on the test range and later described examinations, pills, a calming ribbon and a map.
