After leaving the mausoleum, the group stood talking by their vehicle when a non-human black shadow ran toward two of them. They jumped in the vehicle and left the third companion banging outside before letting him in. When they looked back it was gone.

While investigating a mausoleum, the witness and two companions recorded on separate devices. They captured a child's voice asking for its mother though no children were present. They later played it for the cemetery owners.

The witness entered the woods behind the house before dawn without a flashlight and climbed into a platform tree stand with a crossbow. From close range the witness heard loud owl-like vocalizations that shifted into screeching and tongue-clicking sounds from different directions. After daylight the witness photographed numerous tree breaks, bends and X-shaped formations in the surrounding woods.

A year before Minnesota the guide and a companion got lost looking for a waterfall and at twilight saw a very large upright figure stomping in a creek below the trail. They ran to camp and heard popping branch breaks all around through the night and slept in the vehicle. In the morning the bear hang had been untied and lowered and only fresh produce was missing.

Later the same evening the three boys were playing in their bedroom when they shone a toy light across the window and saw a large brown hairy face blocking the moonlight. The witness dove over the bed as the creature moved to the back door and smashed a cinder block through it, leaving a hole large enough for a leg. The family packed and left that night, with the adults later dismissing it as a relative in a costume.

As children playing behind a newly placed trailer in the evening, the witness and his two brothers heard a loud scream and saw a black hairy creature in a nearby tree. The branch broke and the creature fell about 12 to 15 feet, landing with barely bent legs before walking toward them. The children fled to the trailer, and two hid in an old freezer chest where the creature huffed at them through the lid before walking away.

After moving in, the couple heard whistles, whoops, footsteps and had pebbles thrown, with trail cameras failing. On a cold night about a year ago they sat quietly with lights off, heard a group approach talking, then lit them with flashlights. They describe one tall figure by a deck, one smaller figure lying prone that blinked, others peeking from trees, and others slapping buildings as a distraction before all left down a ridge.

While camped by the lake cleaning up the property, the witness was sent back to the house on a four-wheeler. A gray fog rose from the water and chased the four-wheeler down the trail to the tree line. After retrieving items, the witness rode back through the fog, which followed back to the lake and then settled back over the water.

The group used a disposable camera in the woods hoping to capture ghost orbs. Nothing was seen at the time. After developing, one photo of a friend showed red flash eyes, with a second pair of larger, wider-set bright red glowing eyes visible above the shoulder in a hole in the trees where nothing should have reflected.

On another camping night two people returning to the bonfire thought two companions were wrestling by the fire. A spotlight revealed a large gray figure standing over the seated pair with arms out as if to grab them. The seated pair felt sudden fear and clung to each other crying without seeing it. When lit, it turned, took three steps, and disappeared.

After moving into the grandfather's old house, the family experienced ongoing phenomena. Upstairs sounded like someone playing jacks with bouncing ball and metal pieces, with cold spots and feeling of being watched. Lights flickered and ceiling fans spun with switches off, stopping after occupants apologized for noise. A visitor searched the house without finding occupants who were present.

Four people camped in a van by the lake and walked up a logging trail with torches. The dog ran ahead and fled yelping to the house. Something gray and bulky crossed the trail, then something crashed from the trees, blew out the torch, and loomed over them as a dark mass with outstretched arms. They fled to the van, later heard something walking around and scratching the van, and next morning found scratch marks through paint.

A man and his wife encountered two very human-looking creatures while on four-wheelers during severe hurricane rain and wind. The larger female and smaller juvenile struggled to climb a muddy bank, then stared at the witnesses for several seconds with a look described as terror. The female then grabbed the juvenile and ran up the road and down another bank.

The witness heard a baby-like crying sound near his property, then about ten minutes later a very loud, long, deep roar from a mountain about half a mile away. Shortly after, an answering roar came from the top of his own mountain behind him. The two roars went back and forth, shaking his RV, and he went inside with his dog.

While sitting by a fire, the witness heard what sounded like small children talking very close behind him. He spun around to find nothing and silence. Walking the open part of the property he continued hearing mumbled child-like talk that he could not make into words.

While walking his dog at night, the witness saw a solid black figure about his own size cross his flashlight beam with no visible features. Shortly after, he saw a person-like shadow cast on his RV that appeared to walk down its side into the woods. He heard no movement sounds.

About two football fields from the prior laughing incident, the witness saw bright red eyes about three feet off the ground that looked like a crouched mass. As he approached it stood to tower over him, revealing black hair, gray skin on face, chest and palms, and wide shoulders. It growl-barked, stared at him, then backed silently into the darkness and vanished.

After moving to a house backing to a mountain, the witness heard a loud female-like yelling from up the mountain late at night. The next day his dog refused to continue up the trail. He found a cleaned small animal skull in the middle of the trail with unusual scat containing flowers. He reports ongoing strange night noises that residents leave alone.
Growl in North Carolina
After evening-shooting a large deformed buck that ran into the woods, the guest returned at dawn and crawled into a low briar tunnel to follow blood. A tremendous growl vibrated through him, heavy stomping approached, and a towering shadow loomed over his back with visible flexing fingers. He talked calmly while backing out, then fled. Two days later he found only the deer's ripped-off head with crumbling bone.

After shooting a deer that visibly went down, the guest returned with help and lights to follow blood to where it lay. The deer was gone and in its place was a terrified female beagle wearing a hunting collar from two counties away, which had to be carried out.
