He turned to grab a camera but the figure was gone when he looked back, and he saw nothing when he opened the door and turned on the porch light. Shortly afterward he heard repeated deep rumbling sounds described as like thunder from inside the house.

After topping a ridge and shutting off the vehicle, the witness saw a tall hairy biped about 30 feet away running away and knocking over a small tree. The witness looked back and saw a large bipedal figure crossing the road as a car approached, then doubling back and jumping a fence. The witness rode quickly to the spot but the figure had vanished across an open field, with the distant tree line too far for anyone to have reached so quickly.
