Around 3 a.m. in December the witness was driving home along Clyattville Road in Brooks County when she noticed a very tall bipedal figure standing by a bridge and apparently reaching toward tree branches. As she approached with bright lights and sounded the horn, the figure turned its head toward the car, showing a red eye reflection, and lowered one long arm. Frightened, she did not stop and drove quickly past.

After hearing a splash and seeing a branch thrown into the water one evening, he returned the next evening and watched a tall, long-haired biped cross a road about 40 yards away. He shot it twice, and it collapsed and died. Superiors and two men in a white car secured the body, told him to stay in place and later to forget the incident, and no written statement was ever taken.

The witness noticed movement across the channel and watched a large hairy upright figure step from dense woods, observe for about 30 seconds, then leave once the crying stopped. On Thanksgiving night in 1999 the witness was driving north on a highway just after sundown when headlights illuminated a large bipedal figure crossing the road. She braked to a stop within a few yards as the figure paused mid-stride, turned its head to look toward her vehicle, then walked on and leapt down an embankment toward a creek and woods. She described it as much taller than a person, lean and muscular, covered in dark hair with little facial hair and wearing no clothes.

Four people in a house heard very loud deep shrieks from beyond the backyard tree line at night. Two of them went onto the patio with a rifle and flashlight; when the light was pointed at the treeline the shrieks stopped and something was heard moving away through the woods while grunting deeply. The next day the witness followed a wide trail of fresh tree damage through the woods for about two hours.

Two brothers fishing in a wooded gorge heard a loud splash upstream and walked toward it. About 25 to 30 yards away they watched a large hair-covered human-like creature with long arms repeatedly striking the water for up to a few minutes. The creature then left up a steep bank without clearly looking at them, and the men later reported ground disturbance where it exited.

The witness and three relatives were outside saying goodbye after dinner when they heard a very long, loud howl. The sound lasted about five minutes and caused several dogs in the area to bark and howl in response. The group felt the tone and length ruled out a dog and later judged it an almost perfect match to howl recordings on a website.

The witness and a companion were camped around a fire late at night when they heard a loud high-pitched scream. The witness then saw a large bulky standing figure with head, arms, torso and legs about 30 yards away on the trail. When the witness brought the companion to look the figure was gone, then a similar scream sounded from close behind and another call answered from ahead. The pair quickly covered the fire and drove out.

In May 1998 the witness hiked alone to Minnehaha Falls near Lake Rabun and remained until after dark. After noticing a bad smell and a squatting figure he mistook for another hiker, he approached and saw a very tall, dark-brown, hair-covered biped that stood, walked away with long strides, then stepped toward him before leaving. The witness drew his service pistol and shouted, after which the creature walked away, and he left the area without telling anyone at the time.

The witness was acting as gunner in a vehicle moving without lights during a night training exercise and watching through a thermal sight. A tall, unclothed figure emerged from dense roadside vegetation about fifty yards ahead, crossed the dirt road in three strides, and re-entered vegetation without appearing to notice the vehicle. The witness reported the figure after it disappeared, but the crew drove on without stopping to investigate.

While trying to sleep the witness heard movement in the treeline followed by a grunt and a loud unfamiliar scream estimated 50 to 100 yards away. In the morning the group found unfamiliar prints beside the fire pit and then left the area.

The witness was driving slowly at night after a fishing trip with a companion and a relative when headlights revealed a tall upright animal on the roadside. The animal moved to the shoulder and pulled down a tree limb to cover its face while the vehicle passed closely. Both occupants in the front observed its build, hair, and facial features in the headlights.

The witness had parked facing outward near an unfinished house in his uncle's neighborhood and walked to his cousin's house. Returning about 100 yards away in the dark, he saw a tall dark shape pause behind his car and walk into the woods, mistaking it for his tall cousin. At the car he found his cousin already asleep inside, realizing what he saw was not him.

Six soldiers on a night recon patrol through swamp heard an unseen presence following and circling them closely for 10-15 minutes, weaving between them even after they split into two groups. Later two soldiers in ambush position heard a loud scream-roar twice, followed by the sound of a large rotten tree falling and brush breaking. The sounds then stopped and the presence was heard leaving.

One companion fled while the witness briefly watched a huge dark-haired figure step down an embankment into the road about 30 feet away, hearing a grunt and smelling a musky pine odor. Both ran to the house and dogs chased the figure, with sounds of a violent struggle including roaring and shrieks before the dogs returned, one injured and another with blood on its mouth.

He fired his BB gun, the creature hid grunting, then ran past him as a nearby homeowner shouted. He ran home and later returned with his father, and the neighbor said he saw a small child and a very large figure run off together.

They heard a loud thud and found a large log across the path behind them, then heard leaves shuffling upslope and saw a very large hair-covered figure standing close by. They fled back to their other companions, then the witness returned with two companions, found a large barefoot-like footprint in mud, but saw nothing else.
