A figure approached uphill in a zigzag while making stepping sounds and low grunts and growls, then stopped a few feet away at eye level for about 20 seconds. After the witness coughed and waved, the figure turned and walked away bipedally out of sight and hearing.

On a Halloween night in the early 1990s, the witness was walking at the back of a large group heading to a mountain lake after a hayride. At a trail fork he saw a being crouched at the base of a tree very close to him. The van began rocking violently from side to side until the witness yelled, then the witness shone a flashlight outside and saw a hair-covered figure walking upright past the vehicle into the forest. A foul cesspool-like odor was noticed around the camp, and the companions said pebbles had been tossed onto their tent and something had brushed against it. The group built a fire, discussed what happened, and packed up to leave early.

Two companions on a bow-hunting trip found an old log with its bark torn off and several large tracks nearby. They retrieved a research kit, made plaster casts of two tracks, and examined the log. As it grew dark they reported a Bigfoot watching them from different angles and left for safety. They returned the next morning to find heavy rain had washed the remaining prints away.

Two companions were camping in remote steep woods while digging ginseng when they were awakened late at night by loud howls, screams, growls and chattering. Something shook trees and threw large rocks and small sapling trees into their camp for hours, retreating when the fire was built up and returning as it died down. At daylight they found saplings broken off and uprooted around camp and hiked out to the road.

On a warm dark night in late summer 1993, five people inside a relative's house saw a large furry head peer through the back-door window for a few seconds before disappearing. After going outside, the witness stepped in a large pile of fresh scat and noticed a strong unpleasant odor. Nothing else was seen or heard that night.

Two skateboarders riding ahead of their group heard a high scream then close low grunts off a paved bike trail. One crouched to look and saw a very hairy black bipedal animal crouched about 10 yards away that they had run past. The animal stood to about 6 to 7 feet tall, then ran upright into thick brush swinging its arms, moving very fast and loudly through deadfall before going silent. The pair fled to their companions and a later search of the dead brush found no tracks or sign.

The witness was looking after his girlfriend and her younger brother when the locked front door knob was jiggled. After leaving to call police from his parents’ house, he stepped outside with a flashlight and saw a tall off-white muscular human-shaped figure standing in the weedy field in moonlight. The figure vanished when he raised the light again, and he later found the weeds mashed down where it stood.

The witness was bow hunting and sitting in a parked truck near a road just before dusk. The witness claims four tall, rugged-looking creatures crossed the road about 80 yards ahead and looked toward the truck. After about ten minutes the witness drove down to investigate, found no sign, but noticed a strong rotten carcass-like odor. The witness speculates the creatures took previously shot deer that were never recovered.

Six young people camping in a backyard went for a walk on a dirt road by the Willamette River and heard rocks being thrown into the water, with the split groups each thinking the other was responsible. After reuniting and starting back, they encountered three bipedal figures that came up from the river side, stood in front of them briefly making a snorting sound, then left quickly and quietly through brush on the opposite side. The witness froze while companions fled and reports having suppressed the memory for a long time.
