Late at night the witness was awakened at home by an unfamiliar high-pitched, two-toned scream repeated with pauses. She listened from an open window and woke her son, who also listened and said he had never heard such a sound. The sounds were heard at a distance and eventually faded toward the other side of the valley.

While tent-camping with her daughter at a lakeside resort, the witness was awakened around 2 a.m. by repeated loud shrieks coming from across the water. She dressed, went to the shore with a flashlight, and listened for several minutes until the sound stopped abruptly. Another camper from an RV joined her on the shore and listened as well, and neither could identify the source as a known animal.

The witness was driving along a highway beside a river with a companion when he first mistook an animal on an overhanging tree or log for a bear. Looking back, he claimed to see a large ape-like creature crouched over the water with an arm extended toward the river as if trying to catch a fish. He said he clearly saw human-like facial features and was certain it was not a bear.
Strange, tall creature seen crossing the road at Kennedy Lake
The witness and a relative were stranded after a vehicle breakdown and were flagging traffic with flashlights. About an hour after dark they saw the silhouette of a tall, very skinny biped cross the road about 30-40 feet away toward the lake. It walked upright with a slow, smooth gait and large steps, described as kid-like, smaller than a standing bear, with long arms and a humpbacked appearance.

The witness found a line of very fresh barefoot-like tracks on a gravel bank that made a sharp turn toward the road, with one showing a crescent of toes. He concluded a sasquatch had passed minutes earlier. After heavy rain eroded the tracks, he photographed the site and cast the one track that retained detail.

A family camping in a tent at the mouth of a river woke around 5 a.m. to sounds of something moving in the water followed by repeated large splashes described as rocks being thrown. They retreated to their boat offshore, where the witness shone a flashlight and saw a red reflective glint near the tent. They waited until daylight, found nothing at the spot, then broke camp and left.

The witness was hiking with two dogs when he found a low shelter made from fallen trees with woven branches. Inside and around it he reported reddish hair, many large fibrous scat piles, snapped branches, and a single large bare footprint. His dogs acted nervous and one erased part of the track before it could be measured. He left the area without collecting samples and has not returned.
Motorists describe boat on trailer being shaken violently at night near Lake Cowichan
Three people driving with a boat on a trailer stopped on a logging road at night. While stopped the truck shook and rocked sideways and the boat and trailer were pushed toward the side of the road by something unseen. The driver drove away thinking it might be an earthquake or landslide. Later inspection showed the boat twisted on the trailer with a split hull, damaged tie-downs and latch, and non-working trailer lights, with no claw marks found.

The witness was dropped by helicopter on a mountain top to troubleshoot a seismic line and hiked down alongside a large scree field. Hearing steady rock-rolling sounds, he approached quietly and watched a slender hairy female and two small juveniles foraging among rocks and putting items in their mouths. A much larger female then emerged and caught a small rodent, which a huge male rushed out to snatch and eat. After the animals stood and scanned the treeline while sniffing deeply, the witness radioed a bear alert, a helicopter buzzed the area scattering the group, and he returned to the helipad where the pilot said others had reported similar encounters.

Late at night the witness stepped outside briefly with the dog before bed and heard an unfamiliar howling sound that frightened her. She quickly returned indoors with the dog while the sound continued for a few more minutes, followed by distant dogs barking. A neighbor living behind her home later said he heard something strange around the same time.
Possible approach to campers near Chilliwack
The witness and four companions were camping by the Chilliwack River at night. The witness imitated alleged sasquatch vocalizations, then heard deeper, longer return calls for about ten minutes. A final closer, louder call was followed by loud breaking of sticks and brush 20-30 feet into the trees; the group had no visual contact and the witness did not return to the site the next day.

While driving to work before dawn on a logging road, the witness encountered a dark figure on the road and initially assumed it was a bear. As headlights illuminated it, the figure was seen running bipedally down the road for about 100 feet before veering off through a ditch and up a bank into bushes. The witness described a tall, dark-haired, unclothed biped with lighter patches on its back and rump that never looked back. Later that day the witness found and photographed indistinct footprints at the site.

The witness and a companion were awakened at home during the night by a series of long, loud piercing screams coming from across the road. After several minutes the screams were followed by quieter whoop sounds from closer to the house. A dog in the house growled at the sounds but would not go outside.
Possible vocalizations heard by trucker at Bell Irving rest stop near Meziadin Junction
The witness, a long-haul driver, stopped alone at a remote rest area for a dinner break. While outside the truck he felt watched and quickly returned to the vehicle. Over about 8-10 minutes he heard three howl-like vocalizations that sounded progressively closer, the last from behind the outhouses. Feeling uneasy, he left the area immediately.
Possible knocking heard by hikers in the Chilliwack valley
The witness and a companion were hiking out from an overnight camp when they heard rhythmic tapping like stones striking together from two separate spots in the trees. They considered the alternating sequences might be communication or a distress signal. After the companion struck rocks together four times, they heard seven quick taps in reply followed by silence, then they left the area.
Possible tracks and vocalizations outside Lumby
On Jan 14, the witness and his girlfriend hiked from the field across the creek to an old skidder trail. There they found large, widely spaced footprints in deep crunchy snow that the witness could only match at a semi-run and that crossed a fallen log without disturbing the snow on top. Nearby they saw a tree with bark stripped all around the lower five feet. Feeling unsafe, they stopped investigating and left the area.
BC family sees a possible family group of sasquatch
The witness was on a family drive for hiking near Ashnola when the group heard loud screaming and howling from the forest that the son compared to alleged sasquatch sounds heard online. A car horn blast stopped the sounds. The group then drove about a quarter mile and the witness stopped to examine old large footprints in snow in the middle of the road.

The witness and two companions were walking near a bonfire when they saw a dark figure run across a horse field. The figure was inside the fence line and reportedly cleared a 5-foot fence at the end of the field. It was viewed from about 60 feet for about 7 seconds and described as nearly 6 feet tall, about 265 lbs, and all black.
