Turning on the lights to climb a hill, they startled a large reddish-brown animal that moved on all fours alongside the truck. At the top of the hill it rose to two legs without stopping and ran bent over down the tree line before re-entering the woods. The pair left the area immediately and did not return to hunt there.

The witness went toward the well with a light and rifle, heard a moan, and saw a large dark form that stood upright. The next day large five-toed tracks were found at the well and most of the guts were gone.

At the road the dogs froze, and the guest's spotlight revealed a hairy figure across the road by a culvert that covered its face with a hand before stepping into the dry creek as they left.

The witness and a relative were walking between ponds at night with lights when they spotted a tall human-like figure watching from behind a tree. After the witness whistled, the figure stepped into the road and took a few walking steps toward them, prompting both to flee back to camp. They later returned with tools to check the area but found no trace of the figure.

While deer hunting alone in a swampy lease, the witness noticed movement in a brush pile and whistled. A large dark figure moved away toward a creek, crossed without an audible splash, and was seen again briefly about 100 feet away on the far bank. The witness found a large decayed log apparently moved at the first location and then returned to the truck.

The witness and a companion parked by a lake dam at night to exercise their coon dogs. They watched a silent white-blue light on the dam go out and reappear closer, weaving through trees toward them. Both retreated to the truck and fled by a longer route, later finding the dogs wedged behind the toolbox. They were mocked when they told others and stopped repeating the story.

The witness was concealed while deer hunting at the water's edge when he noticed movement to the side. He watched a large hair-covered biped rise from a crouch in shallow water, look side to side, then walk out of the water into the woods and disappear over about two minutes from about 50 yards away. On the return to the truck he found a single very large footprint in loose soil.

In 1987 two companions hunting after school were walking on a dirt road in river bottoms and looking down a right-of-way. A large hair-covered figure at least 7 feet tall came out of the trees, walked along the tree line, then went back into the trees without crossing. The witnesses were carrying guns but ran home.

The witness was on a picnic date by a sandy creek in Texas in the evening. While carrying items back to his vehicle he heard a deep grunt, then watched a dark hair-covered biped run upright down a hill and sprint across deep sand. It shortened its stride to leap about 12 feet across the creek, pulled its foot from the far bank, and continued up the other side. His companion also saw it and asked who that was.

Late one afternoon the witness walked through a creek bottom toward a relative's deer stand. He smelled a foul odor and heard something large moving in a swampy thicket. The animal crossed an opening 50 to 75 yards away, and he watched it for about 30 seconds as it covered about 30 feet in a few long steps. He described it as a 6 to 7 foot tall, broad, stooped biped covered in dark brown hair.

Near a ridge she saw a large very dark hair-covered being squatting in dense brush, which then started to emerge upright as the horse bolted. She briefly stopped in a clearing, saw nothing following, then rode quickly back to the trailer and reported what happened to relatives there.

Two children sitting on a relative's porch at midday watched a large hair-covered biped run out of the woods and across a field. It looked toward them briefly, cleared a barbed-wire fence with ease, then vanished behind a pond into the trees while dipping to miss a branch. The pair rushed indoors to tell adults, who told them it was likely a bear.

As a boy riding his bicycle home on a trail through the woods on a hot clear afternoon, the witness felt watched and then heard brush thrashing as something kept pace with him. He raced to a more open trail and looked back to see a very tall, shaggy reddish-brown creature with dark bare facial skin standing at the tree line watching him. He reported a horrible stench filling the air and an absence of normal forest sounds, saying the sighting lasted about half a minute and left him avoiding the woods for months.

The witness was playing with toys on the floor inside a relative's home with the front door open and a screen door closed. A small reddish-brown furry biped stood on the porch beyond the screen watching, and the witness approached very close for about half a minute before leaving to fetch an adult relative. When they returned the creature was gone, and a toy left outside the next day was never seen again.

The witness and his brother were building a house on an undeveloped lot and sitting outside on the road at night after turning off lanterns. About fifty yards away, at least three very large animals began screaming, cackling, and babbling like primates. The witness tried to illuminate them with a motorbike headlight, but they were already gone and the night fell still.

The witness and a companion were sitting in a parked car at night near a creek when wildlife sounds stopped and bipedal footsteps approached. The witness attempted to drive away and briefly saw a broad-shouldered brownish-black animal moving on two legs into the creek. The pair left to get help and later returned with others.

The guest, his younger brother and his cousin were walking to a dam at night to get frogs. They noticed agitated cattle and a bad smell, then saw something crouching that stood up very tall. It followed them down the road as they walked backward, stepped over a fence, and ran quickly across a peach orchard. The next morning a deputy told them several cows had been found dead in that pasture.
