Two soldiers on a nighttime security patrol left the patrol base and noticed unnerving silence, cold air, a strong rotten odor, and sounds paralleling them and following behind. They heard a knocking sound and a whistle that mimicked their own signal, then encountered a large shaggy shape blocking the trail that rose from a crouch and walked away upright. They were found by an instructor about a mile from the base perimeter and later told by leadership not to discuss the incident.

The witness was hunting hogs alone on a food plot in the afternoon. He heard two loud wood-on-wood knocks from a mountainside about a quarter mile away, followed about thirty seconds later by a fainter knock from the opposite ridge. The witness and his college friend were walking a valley when the friend whooped and received two whoops back from another direction. The witness then saw a small jet-black upright figure peeking from behind a tree. Loud beating like metal, laughter-like chatter, and footsteps on multiple sides followed them as they left uphill toward the house.

The witness hiked to a riverside fishing spot on a sunny late morning after a cold night. As he came up an embankment he saw a large hairy upright animal standing in the sun about 30-40 yards away and watched it for about 15-20 seconds before speaking to it. The animal then avoided eye contact and left quickly uphill, after which the witness heard rapid knocking sounds like a drum roll from the ridge. He camped there overnight without seeing it again.

After mapping hotspots, the witness went to Fort Mountain to try speaking aloud to Sasquatch and asking for medicine knowledge for a woman with ovarian pain. On the way back he found a large medicinal mushroom chunk sitting in the middle of the trail where it had not been. Back at his car alone in foggy darkness he heard a single loud heavy wood knock from back down the trail.

The witness brought a relative into a wooded valley at night to try tree knocking. After the witness knocked, several answering knocks were heard from the woods, including three immediate returns that startled the relative. No visual contact with the source is described.

Shortly after 1:30 am the witness was awakened by aggressive barking and went to the porch to investigate. He heard heavy bipedal footsteps, loud screams and howls that approached rather than retreated, and fired shots into the ground. He later heard repeating groups of three heavy knocks and was shadowed along the fence for over an hour without ever seeing the source, leaving him and the dogs shaken.

On a cool afternoon in February 2007, the witness and a companion hiked in the woods to look for clues about strange activity. They reported finding large human-like footprints, possible bedding areas, territorial tree markings, and a freshly fallen oak with bark that looked chewed and wet. While leaving the woods they reported being followed by something unseen that produced howls and other vocals, stick-beating sounds, continuing footsteps, and moving vegetation.

About two years before reporting, the witness was riding a bicycle with a companion on a rural county road near Calhoun, just over the line into Walker County. From woods bordering fields the witness heard several loud sounds like heavy wood knocks echoing. The witness first assumed construction in the woods but later thought the sounds could have been a Sasquatch because the area was only woods and fields. The companion did not notice the sounds and the witness has not returned to the area.

They were paralleled on both sides, heard whoops and powerful wood knocks and branches being ripped, then a large tree was pushed over close to them and they fled. The running camcorder captured the sounds and briefly illuminated two large almond-shaped red eyes that narrowed and turned away before the tree fell.
