The witness was alone hunting deer from an elevated stand before sunrise when a strong musty odor grew stronger. He then noticed a tall, hairy biped partly concealed behind a large tree about 25 yards away, swaying from side to side and making short low grunts. After he glanced away to reach for his scoped gun he heard it moving through the woods, and when he looked back it had disappeared.

The witness was driving a truck on I-75 at dusk in fog when a tall dark bipedal creature crossed the highway ahead from forest toward an orchard, covering the lanes in a few long strides and clearing the median and a fence. After pulling over, the witness shone a spotlight into the area, saw red-orange eyeshine for several seconds and heard a low grunt before leaving.

While walking on a road at night he heard branches breaking and a loud vocalization, then saw a very large dark fur-covered shape between trees on a rock face. The figure stared and turned its head to watch her as she moved to the far side of the road and walked quickly home while praying without running.

In early June 2006 around 1 a.m., the witness arrived home from work and parked by the woodline near the driveway. After exiting the vehicle he heard loud howls and ape-like grunts from the woods that he perceived as very large and threatening. The witness was spending time with horses in a fenced pasture next to extensive woods when movement in brush near the barn drew attention and the horses ran toward the house. Thinking the partly obscured shape outside the fence might be a horse, the witness walked toward it and then saw a tall upright figure covered in reddish hair that grunted, looked at the witness, then pushed through small trees and brush leaving the area with loud heavy footsteps. The witness ran to the house and told relatives who were inside.

The witness had just returned home with two dogs around dawn when extremely loud, animal-like yells with a human-like quality were heard from near the horse barn. The sounds changed in character and moved toward the western edge of the property. The witness went to check the horses afterward but saw nothing unusual.

While hiding in a ditch during a paint ball game with a young child, the witness claims both heard strange groaning sounds from toward nearby apartments. The child became frightened and they went inside, then the witness brought family and other children into the yard where the group reportedly heard the groans again. After hearing a splash and seeing a branch thrown into the water one evening, he returned the next evening and watched a tall, long-haired biped cross a road about 40 yards away. He shot it twice, and it collapsed and died. Superiors and two men in a white car secured the body, told him to stay in place and later to forget the incident, and no written statement was ever taken.

One companion fled while the witness briefly watched a huge dark-haired figure step down an embankment into the road about 30 feet away, hearing a grunt and smelling a musky pine odor. Both ran to the house and dogs chased the figure, with sounds of a violent struggle including roaring and shrieks before the dogs returned, one injured and another with blood on its mouth.

A loud, powerful, unfamiliar call came from across the sink, described as starting like a deep growl and growing in volume and tone. A family living in a rural wood-frame home reported repeated nighttime visits over several years by two large hair-covered bipeds, one larger and one smaller. The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.
