The figure then stepped into deep water, crossed the creek, and climbed the far bank holding trees, and was gone when the witness returned after dark.

The witness was driving on a gravel mountain road in the early morning when he saw a small dark animal sitting in the road. A tall brown-haired female came from the woods, picked up the juvenile and carried it back into the trees. After the witness got out of his car a rock struck the car and a much larger dark individual appeared behind the car, vocalized loudly, then crossed the road into the woods. The witness drove a short distance ahead, stopped, heard movement in the woods and had more small rocks thrown toward him before leaving.
Cryptid sighting in New Mexico (2008)
While driving east on I-10 in New Mexico around 3 a.m., the driver saw a white organic object about three feet long cross the road about 70 feet ahead and 20 feet up. Its long side fins or wings moved in a rippling wave like a squid rather than flapping, and it maintained level flight into the dark. He could not identify it and ruled out a wind-blown bag because only the edges moved.
