Shortly after, they heard a loud crash like a tree or branch breaking and then heard something moving in dense brush alongside the trail, keeping pace as they walked. The follower stopped when they stopped and continued for several minutes before stopping. They never saw the source and photographed the track.
Two paranormal investigators find possible evidence at Cumberland Sugar Creek Cemetery
Two paranormal investigators visited a rural pioneer cemetery late at night for a walkthrough after hearing about recent rock throwing and large tracks nearby. Near an opening in the fence at the southeast corner they found three large barefoot footprints in soft clay leading away from the cemetery and photographed them with a cell phone. About 75 feet away they noted a small tree that had been snapped and bent over outside the fence. They left after about an hour without seeing any animal or person.

Two residents found a single large footprint in mud under an apple tree in their suburban backyard that backs onto woods. The print was measured at about 18 inches long and seven inches wide, with missing fruit noted on the tree above it. No creature was seen. Late at night the witness and a relative went outside to check a heavy thud behind the house. They saw a deer run past, then a very tall hair-covered human-like figure approach from the woods. After a shotgun shot was fired toward the treeline, the figure veered closer, stopped nearby, then moved along the treeline into the woods where it remained visible for several minutes. A strong odor was noticed and large footprints were found the next day.

A family visiting their newly purchased wooded property for a picnic found a large bare footprint on a mowed slope. The witness's spouse spotted the print after the witness had walked over it without noticing. The witness then found two additional partial impressions nearby and a strange stick structure behind the cabin, which were photographed with scale and measurements.

Late one evening in April 2011 the witness returned home from dinner next door and walked toward the unfinished garage addition. He saw a very tall dark figure standing behind his SUV at the garage entrance for a few seconds before running back inside for a gun. He and a relative searched the yard and found no one, but noticed several very large wet footprints on the concrete with a wide stride.

The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

The witness went out in the morning to feed dogs kept away from the house and noticed a large barefoot footprint in patchy melting snow. After finding only one clear print, the witness and two relatives searched the surrounding area by ATV and located a second, more melted print some distance away. After a major blizzard, the witness and her husband noticed a long line of large footprints crossing their snow-covered backyard. The trackway appeared to start near the patio by the garage, pass toward an outhouse, and continue toward a fence and adjoining trail and woods. No creature was seen, and no photos of the tracks were taken before the snow melted.

The witness and a companion were hiking out after a multi-day camping trip when they found a large barefoot-like print in mud, with additional fainter tracks continuing along the trail, and took a single cellphone photo. That night while sheltering in a trail cabin with a poncho rigged over an open window, the covering was pulled open and a securing board was knocked onto a camper despite no observed wind. The witness noted the nighttime disturbance could have been a bear, but also noted a food-strewn garbage bag was left untouched.

The witness was hiking on a new gravel path through a forest preserve at lunchtime. In wet crushed gravel that preserved other footprints, the witness noticed bare footprints about 13 inches long with five toes that appeared deeper than shoe prints and traced them back to thick grass. The witness photographed the prints with a glove for scale and found the step distance too long to comfortably match.

While mushroom hunting with a sibling on a permitted wooded property, the witness found a bare footprint in a muddy spot. They photographed it with a bill for scale and noted toe push-off on a stick. No cast was made.
Sasquatch sighting (2011)
After leaving food that disappeared and finding faint prints on a sandbar, the witness found a finger-drawn marking with a bent stick and used a compass bearing to locate a distant area. There he cast a long trail of large prints in mud that he felt matched the earlier casts in size and shape. While hiking in that second area he saw a thin, bright orange creature from the chest up cross a closed road and run smoothly without head bob.

The witness briefly notes another find the following year with a smaller set alongside big tracks. She compares the width to her own size-eight foot, saying the track was wider and longer toe to toe.

The witness was driving home from fishing with two companions around 12:50 a.m. when they spotted a large hair-covered figure with its head in a roadside trash can. They pulled close and watched it run on all fours then stand and walk on two legs in their headlights before it escaped behind a building toward a creek. A footprint was left behind and later photographed.

The witness was supervising a crew clearing brush under a highway bridge in the morning. The group noticed a strange odor, heard persistent movement and muffled grunts, and watched something peeping from behind a tree. Later a skinned rabbit hung high in a tree disappeared, bare footprints larger than the workers feet were found in mud by a creek, and loud limb-breaking sounds caused the whole crew to flee.

The next morning a line of prints was found in mud by the river that appeared to come out of the water and go back in downstream. The witness photographed the prints and made a plaster cast, reporting them at about 13 by 4 inches.

The witness was driving back roads after collecting mail when a line of large footprints was noticed on a dirt road. The witness brought a companion to view the trackway and both took photographs, returning the next day for more photos, measurements, and plaster casts. The trackway reportedly ran along the road for about three-quarters of a mile, entering and leaving adjacent fields, with large dimensions and a long stride.
