The woods went silent, then something close by laughed like a hyena, and it followed him until near the mountaintop.

The witness and a companion were camping overnight in hammocks when a prolonged series of nighttime disturbances began. The witness heard crashing movement, branches breaking, rocks banged together, and a large object thrown through the woods landing nearby. Birds, an owl, and distant dogs vocalized during the sequence, which ended with a long wail, after which the woods went quiet. The pair left the area the next morning.

They shone headlamps where it stopped, saw nothing, felt watched, then retreated backward to the parking lot and listened in silence.

Two people tending a brush fire at night heard repeated grunt-like vocals and heavy breathing from the woods behind them for about an hour. The witness and companions were camping overnight when they were awakened about 1 a.m. by loud, heavy bipedal footsteps moving around their campsites and breaking branches and leaves near the wood line. They judged the source to be very large and heavy and ruled out deer, horse, or bear because it walked like a person on two feet. No vocalizations were heard, no footprints were found, and no food was disturbed.

Something large and heavy sprinted on all fours from behind him, blurred past, crossed the creek and stopped silently. He felt watched, left quickly, and later jokingly told his wife he ran into a giant wolf.

While camping with family, the witness was awakened around 2 a.m. by repeated whooping calls coming from multiple directions. The calls appeared to move toward the northeast and at times sounded within about 100 yards, with walking sounds also heard near the campsite. No animal was seen.

The witness was camped in a tent at a primitive site in mixed forest when, in the dark early-morning hours, footsteps were heard crunching through dry leaves off-trail. The unseen walker came from dense woods behind the tent, crossed the trail, and continued east smoothly without a light. The witness stayed still and never saw the source, but later insisted it was certainly bipedal and not a deer.

While scouting and then deer hunting near a river over several weeks, the witness reports a persistent foul odor, sounds of being followed, and repeated loud wood knocks. The witness found single very large deeply impressed tracks on two occasions, plus stick formations, flattened vegetation, long strides in leaves, and animal remains including hide on a high limb and a bloody disturbed area. A wildlife biologist viewed the first track but considered it contaminated, and later investigators visiting the site found no tracks or signs.

On the first night outside the house he reported paired knocking sounds, stones hitting the roof, and a brief glimpse of gray movement. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.

The dog alerted toward the treeline, then the witness heard a loud howl and wood-on-wood sounds very close and glimpsed a figure by a tree. After going back inside and leaving again, the witness heard footsteps in the dark and saw a huge dark upright figure moving along the fence and driveway by a pond, later noticing a foul odor and disturbed leaves in the area.

Throughout spring 2004 the witness and several neighbors repeatedly heard what sounded like a bipedal creature walking through woods at night, often while area dogs barked intensely. Plants outside the witness's window were found repeatedly flattened and scratching was heard on a neighbor's house. In May the witness heard a loud distant scream described as a classic Bigfoot scream. The disturbances stopped abruptly in July.
