The witness drove up late to visit a woman friend and they hiked to her cleared spot in the woods to sleep out. While talking about implants, they heard heavy bipedal footsteps approach down the trail, saw a huge looming figure, shouted for identification with no response, and it charged to within 10-12 feet before veering downhill. They shone headlamps where it stopped, saw nothing, felt watched, then retreated backward to the parking lot and listened in silence.
