The witness and her husband were awakened after midnight by strange sounds from their children's bedroom heard through a baby monitor, including squeaking at the window and a thump against the house wall. After the husband turned on exterior lights, the witness saw a large shadow move quickly away from the house toward nearby woods. Shortly after, both heard a very loud double whoop vocalization twice, which the husband said could not have been an owl.

During a BFRO trip to Bumping Lake with a friend, the guest was woken around 3:30 a.m. by loud bellowing screams. A hand pushed and swished across the tent near his face and knocked back when he hit the fabric, then walked away. At daylight he found a woven-tree shelter overlooking camps and on exit found the road blocked by three pushed-over trees.

After moving to the property the household repeatedly heard tapping on glass and slaps on the exterior walls, but found nothing when checking with a spotlight. Chairs left outside were found turned upside down in the morning. Strange whoop-like sounds were also heard from across the canyon and were initially attributed to bears or people.

While walking alone to his stand in the dark, the witness was followed in the brush line, then saw a huge dark-faced creature that hit a tree. Three people were inside a small cabin after scouting for bear season when they heard banging on the outside wall and later three bangs on the door. Each time they went outside they found no one there, but they noticed a strong foul odor. The witness stayed two nights at a friend's house on a wooded mountain development. On the first night outside the house he reported paired knocking sounds, stones hitting the roof, and a brief glimpse of gray movement. The next day he found two partial human-like footprints in a steep bank near a trail. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.

Late on a Wednesday night the witness was watching TV above the garage when he heard something strike a garage door. After a few seconds he looked out the window and saw a tall hair-covered figure below the window retreating toward the woods. The figure disappeared within about two seconds. A family member later checked outside but found no tracks or other physical evidence.

The witness stayed alone in the last car of a line of four while a paranormal group walked up a hill at night. A gold-tan something stood by the rear window and twice patted or palmed the car door, causing the witness to sit in the dark. In early April 2006 around 2:30 a.m., the witness was inside his trailer when he saw a hairy figure staring through a nearby window. When he tried to shut his front door, something held it open against his push. The witness was working overnight security at a remote strip mine and was resting in the guard shack during heavy rain. He heard crunching beside the shack, saw a shadow move toward the door, and something pulled on the door. After he shouted, he heard a terrifying screaming howl and the pulling intensified, so he heated a poker as a threat until it went quiet, then ran to his car where he remained the rest of the night.

The witness was home alone in the evening when something struck the locked front door hard. She heard a low grunting or growling sound and then saw a pair of slanted eyes and a hairy head staring at her from a few feet away in the dark. She watched the motionless figure for an estimated ten minutes. Police arrived hours later on foot and found nothing.

They heard persistent huffing and a growl, experienced silence and a sense of being watched, and reported a dark shape blocking a camper window.
