Late at night at his hillside home, the witness was on the driveway and porch trying to get his two large dogs to go into the woods below. A very loud, powerful yell or holler erupted from close range downhill, which he felt vibrate through his body and which silenced all dogs in the area. His dogs froze with raised hackles staring downhill, then pigs and possible raccoons were heard moving up a valley, followed by distant dogs barking uphill as if something moved away quickly.

After hearing walking sounds and a faint scream-like sound, they watched nearby treetops shake violently while hearing cracking and rattling branches. The shaking then stopped abruptly leaving the woods silent, frightening the group into dousing the fire and going inside. A next-morning search found no footprints or fallen limbs.
