While fishing at a beaver pond east of Gates, the witness found large four-toed tracks in mud that led into the water and looped back toward shore but could not be followed through brush. The next day the witness returned with a relative and plaster, confirmed the tracks were about 18 inches long and very deep, made a cast, and found a partially eaten beaver in the brush in the direction the tracks had headed. No creature was seen.

The witness was sleeping on the west bank of Chopaka Lake in June 1994 when awakened around 2-3am by a very loud, long call echoing across the lake. The call was described as lasting about 10 seconds each time and shifting from a low bellow to a snarl to a high screech, coming from the northwest corner of the lake. One companion fled while the witness briefly watched a huge dark-haired figure step down an embankment into the road about 30 feet away, hearing a grunt and smelling a musky pine odor. Both ran to the house and dogs chased the figure, with sounds of a violent struggle including roaring and shrieks before the dogs returned, one injured and another with blood on its mouth.

The witness was driving to work westbound on US 460 east of Shelbiana in the morning when a tall, hairy biped came from the river side, went over the guardrail and took two steps across the two-lane highway. A family camping trip left the witness alone with small children when others took an injured member for care. A dog grew frightened, and later loud mixed high and low vocalizations and sounds of small trees snapping prompted the family to flee to their car. The witness reports the whole campground appeared to be leaving at once in the middle of the night.

Four agents on foot in a burned, foggy creek area at about 2am heard a single large splash and then sustained wading sounds moving against the current on two feet, though nothing was visible even with lights. They followed the sounds along the bank until brush blocked them while several coyotes fled silently, and all reported feeling afraid before leaving. A few minutes later a thermal scope operator reported a very large heat signature following two other agents in the same area.

The witness returned from a forest walk noticing a carcass-like odor and feeling watched. While on the dirt driveway they heard a deep snorting sound and saw a large male being watching them. The being allegedly mimicked the witness's movements for about five minutes. The witness ran inside for a camera, but the being was gone on return.

They shone lights toward the sound and saw very large green glowing eyes, then fled to the highway. From a ditch they looked back and saw an enormous upright outline with arms hanging past its knees before running away.

While fishing on a river near sundown in 1994, the witness saw an upright two-legged animal wading through shallow water and trees. The animal approached toward deeper water, then turned back to the shallows, watched the witness for a few minutes while tilting its head, and then wandered into the swamp without making a sound. The witness left by motorboat once it was out of sight.

The witness was driving west at night with two daughters when a tall brown-haired bipedal figure stepped into the headlights and crossed the road into thick brush. The witness stopped the car, as did an oncoming car, and the older daughter also watched the figure cross. The younger daughter slept through the entire event.

The witness and two companions drove late at night to a wooded hilltop lookout, spent 15 to 20 minutes on top, then started walking downhill toward the car. While descending they heard heavy footsteps on both sides that kept pace with them and estimated five or six unseen individuals from groupings of footfalls. They shouted warnings, received no verbal response, then ran to the car and drove away without ever seeing the source.

The witness and a friend went out at night to search for the witness's father who had not returned from fishing. While searching along the creek they heard an unfamiliar clicking sound and saw two sets of large red eyes on the far river bank. They found the father deceased beside his boat and later learned he had suffered a heart attack. The witness believed the unknown creatures were watching over his father and had helped him locate the body.

They encountered a large hairy figure crouched over an animal carcass about 30-35 yards away, noticed a foul odor, and watched it stand upright. The figure screamed several times as they retreated to the car and was still standing near the water when last seen from a ridge.

The witness was waiting for the morning bus in foggy, dim light when a large dark figure emerged from behind the approaching bus. The figure ran quickly across an open sagebrush valley toward ponderosa trees and the nearby forest, disappearing behind houses. The witness noted the speed and lack of any trail, and later found only faint ground marks.
