Two witnesses taking a dog for exercise at the end of a swamp road noticed a large dark hairy torso-like shape beside a tree about 50-75 feet away and watched it shift for a few minutes. After driving to two other spots up the road, they heard footsteps approaching and then something running toward them through the woods, which frightened the dog. They left the area and returned later that afternoon, but the shape was gone.

From very close range they heard an extremely loud, powerful scream that felt physically intense but they could not locate any source despite scanning with flashlights. The witness and a companion returned in the morning to a clear-cut where deer had been taken the day before to look for fresh sign. In a muddy strip beside the road they found much larger human-like tracks that the witness did not consider to be bear, with a very long stride. They followed the tracks a short distance until the tracks stopped, then left the area and did not return.

The witness was riding as a passenger with a companion while driving home to a year-round campground at night. The witness spotted a brown, hairy figure crouched on a boulder on a hill, facing toward the companion's cabin. When headlights hit it, it paused briefly, leapt about nine feet to another rock, stood up and ran bipedally out of sight down the hill. The companion did not see it.

The witness was walking with a friend out of tall grass into a field in the late afternoon when a tall, slim, white-furred creature was noticed about 100 feet away in the woods. The creature appeared to notice them, turned, and ran away very quickly. The witness did not see its face, hands, or feet clearly.

The witness hiked to a deer stand while hearing repeated groups of clicking sounds for about 45 minutes but could not locate the source on the ridge. While walking back out of the woods, the witness heard something large approach and stop behind them. The unseen source then made a very loud close grunt and, after the witness chambered a round, a loud guttural scream/grunt. The witness never saw the source.

The witness walked to a treestand before dawn for a bowhunt and heard a howl-like sound in the dark. After daybreak, after several deer ran past appearing spooked, a tall bipedal hair-covered creature ran past the stand without stopping. Two more smaller creatures, one described as dragging a baby-sized one, then appeared briefly before quickly following the first, leaving behind a foul odor.

The witness was driving with companions late at night to look around. A companion noticed two red eyes on a bank, initially thought to be a raccoon, then the creature blinked and walked upright on two legs across the road about 100 yards ahead. The group locked the doors and drove away as the creature disappeared into a timbered thicket.

The witness was deer hunting from an old logging road overlooking a cleared area when a tall bipedal figure emerged from the treeline across a draw. At first mistaking it for a very large man on a road, he realized it was far taller than a human with long strides and brown coloration. The figure appeared to turn toward him, then returned into the treeline. He later crossed to the spot and found no road, only uneven ground and a steep draw beyond.

Two geologists were sampling exposed rock near a creek after morning hunting gunfire had stopped. The witness heard rustling, turned, and saw a reddish-brown hair-covered entity hanging by long arms from a low branch over a bridge about 200 to 300 feet away. After about 10 to 15 seconds it dropped behind the bridge out of view and was not seen again. The companion saw nothing, no traces were searched for or found, and the witness remained unsure the sighting was genuine.

The witness was tracking elk sign alone in the late afternoon when he smelled a foul odor, felt watched, then saw several large bipedal animals scatter through thick brush and fled back to camp. Around 2 a.m. the whole camping party was awakened by very loud, prolonged yowl-like screams preceded by banging sounds. The party left the area after daybreak.

The figure appeared to be climbing, with an arm extended overhead gripping a branch and a leg raised. It kept its back to the road the entire time and was gone when the witness returned to the site moments later.

The witness was camping in the mountains of northern California when a loud, frightening howl echoed through the area from the east around 1 a.m. The witness reported extensive prior backpacking experience in the region and said nothing similar had been heard before. The witness and spouse were hiking uphill in heavy snow when they found about a dozen very fresh, large barefoot-like tracks crossing the slope. As they examined the tracks, nearby foliage shook as if an animal was present, and they felt sudden fear and decided to leave. While descending about 300 yards, small pebbles were repeatedly tossed at them from behind, striking the witness in the back without injury until they began to run.

Early one morning the witness was driving east on Highway 67 after stopping to pick up a newspaper. In the headlights a large black biped ran from the north side of the road across in front of the vehicle and up an incline to the south. The witness described it moving very fast on two legs and glancing back over a hunched shoulder while maintaining eye contact. The witness stated it did not look like a known four-legged animal and was left frightened.
