Daylight sighting by ferry operator at Nelson River crossing, north of Norway House
The witness filmed an unclear figure near a work site in a remote forested area. The witness showed the tape to family, after which others in the community and media became aware of it. An investigator later viewed the full tape and described it as blurry and small in frame but showing additional movements.

Huge human-like footprints discovered
The witness and a companion hiked into a remote area beside Cedar Lake to collect ancient amber. While wading along the flooded shoreline the day after hiking in, they found fresh, huge human-like footprints in a sandy area that led west into the swamp. The prints were described as 14-15 inches long, narrow for their length, with a running stride and deep depressions. They recorded the prints and surrounding swamp with a video camera.
