Two companions walking at night to a school dance heard loud crashing steps near a wooded sanctuary. They turned and saw two trees being parted high above the ground. The witness states he never saw the source and both fled home in fear.

Late at night two boys inside a lake-front home noticed a shadow passing a high bedroom window and went outside with lights to check for an intruder. From a deck they heard a loud snap on a trail leading to the woods and saw a very tall, broad, black-haired upright creature run away and disappear. The next day a search found only a broken limb, and the witness later heard that nearby residents had also reported sounds, tracks and fence damage that night.

The witness was left to walk up a long steep driveway at night after others drove ahead and heard heavy steps matching her own. Near a lit barn she saw a very tall shadow, ran, and felt it breathing over her head. A group of youths watching cattle from a hill saw the herd become anxious and flee a corner of the field. They went to the fencerow to investigate and found reddish hair on barbed wire and a small pine twisted and knocked over high up. The animal stood, made a gesture, and walked into the forest. As they descended toward the creek they heard noise and saw a bear with a cub feeding nearby, leaving the witness unsure what was seen.

Both fled on foot while hearing heavy thuds, and one saw a large rock bouncing nearby. A few days later they returned and found a cleared limb bed and a limb torn from a mesquite tree, but no footprints due to rocky ground.
