Two companions hiking back from a mountain trail claim rocks were thrown toward them from the woods over an extended period, starting with misses above and behind them and later coming close enough to duck. They also report hearing an unidentified whining sound, possible footsteps, knock-like sounds, and a tree being shaken, without ever seeing the source. Near the area they noticed a green limb broken high and left hanging.

He found two live trees bent over a logging road, then heard repeated knocking sounds from the direction of his entry route. While leaving through a creek bottom at dusk, he heard rocks striking and rolling downstream several times before driving out without seeing the source.

The witness briefly saw a large dark shape among trees that was gone on second look. After investigating, the pair heard a heavy bipedal approach pass close behind camp, prompting them to leave for the cabin. The next day the witness found a large footprint and a freshly fallen tree.
