The witness was driving home from work late at night when she briefly saw a tall, dark figure on the opposite side of the highway near a guardrail. She described it as facing away and moving toward the ditch and forest, seeing it only for a moment at close range. A coworker who drove the same stretch about 15 minutes earlier reported a deer sprinting across the road in the same area.
Rock throwing and stalking near Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest
The witness and two relatives were camped in a remote site in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest. Late at night the witness heard prolonged rustling and crackling at the camper's tarp porch, initially thinking a bear had returned. About half an hour later multiple rounds of rocks struck the camper, including a larger rock on the roof, waking the other two campers. In the morning the camp was undisturbed and a rock was found in a hammock behind the camper.

The witness was driving on highway 47 in the morning when cresting a hill she saw a dark brown, wide-bodied human-like figure standing on the road shoulder. The figure was seen in profile and jumped off into the ditch and into the woods. A relative visited the described site about 45 minutes later and reported a landing mark in a snow bank, tracks along a deer trail, and a deer carcass missing its front legs.

A hunter encountered a large fur-covered creature crouched on all fours examining tracks in light snow at the edge of a cedar swamp. The creature stood and looked at her from about 20 yards away, frightening her, and she fled to her stand and called a family member. The family member arrived later and found tracks, broken branches and a bad smell, with a feeling of being watched.

After a child's whoops received an immediate whoop reply nearby, two adults who stayed behind briefly heard something approach closely then step away, seeing nothing with lights. Back in camp the group saw intermittent orange eyeshine below the ridgeline, and later heard movement around camp overnight including a camper shaking.

On the morning of December 15, 2013, a fresh inline trackway was spotted from a kitchen window and four people went out to examine it. They followed the large deep prints from the woods behind the house through the backyard and front yard, down a driveway across neighboring property toward a lake. The prints were described as about 14 inches long with a stride of just over six feet, single-file rather than side-by-side, and uniform in size and shape.

After getting into a tree stand, the witness heard knocks, breaking branches, growling, huffs and moans from about 100 yards away for an hour. Becoming nervous, the witness left the area.

Late at night the witness was on the deck and repeatedly heard a loud growling-screaming sound moving from a field across the road to a field behind the house, but saw nothing in the moonlight. The next evening the witness and a companion searched with a spotlight and reported finding large bipedal footprints with a long stride. The tracks were photographed the following day after warm weather had largely melted them, and the photos were later judged too indistinct to include.

The witness claims that while hiking alone in cedar swampland, a hair-covered creature followed and watched him for over an hour, moving only when he moved and mimicking his crouching actions. The creature eventually disappeared near a clear-cut area after the witness waited an hour without it reappearing.

Days later the witness believed an outline of a figure appeared in one photo and reported being followed on later visits to check for more prints.

A relative reportedly found a set of bipedal tracks in snow and followed them in both directions. The tracks are described as unusually deep with a very long average stride, leading from a swampy area through hardwood forest to within 20 yards of a cabin before being lost at a plowed road. Photographs with a yardstick and boot for scale were reportedly taken.

A press report said three large footprint-like impressions were found on a Monday in the wooded Blue Hills area near Rice Lake. An investigator described the impressions as about 16 to 17.5 inches long and 8 inches wide, with one showing five toes and a stride of about 4.5 feet, suggesting a Bigfoot. He said he would do more preliminary searching before deciding on a full-scale expedition.

Police were called and during the subsequent search an officer saw a tall man-like figure run across a highway. Very large tracks with a long stride were found but dogs could not track anything and the figure vanished into river bottoms. A later visitor examined a cast and said weight distribution argued against a fake shoe.

The witness and his father were walking to their deer stands before sunrise when they heard something moving parallel to them and smelled a musky odor. Something ahead screamed and howled, and a flashlight revealed eye reflections several feet off the ground. They retreated to the stream and at daylight saw dark fur moving through deadfalls in the distance.

The witness became lost while hiking west off Rux Road and spent about 12 hours traveling through forest and waist-deep swamp. Around midday in a bog near a wilderness lake he found four to five large human-like footprints with distinct toes in the mud. Later that day in dense brush he heard strange grunting sounds he could not see, then reached a dirt road and got a ride home.

A group of six people observed a large, brown, long-haired, foul-smelling animal for about 15 seconds in the morning. The animal walked quickly away without running and disappeared into a swampy wooded area when they tried to follow. The witness found footprints, made a cast of one and gave it to the state natural resources agency without receiving a response, and noted another print in stream clay. No vocalizations were heard and the encounter was described as not life-threatening.

For three years a property owner put out roadkill deer to explain a mutilated raccoon, assisted by the investigator. Large five-toed tracks with no forepaw indicated upright walking.
