The witness was driving east with a companion on a private dirt road in daylight when she noticed a dark, shaggy shape behind a fence near Long Creek. She described it as crouched or standing motionless, with a pointed head and broad shoulders, about three feet taller than the fence, and believed it was trying to remain unseen. The companion did not see it, and when they turned around and returned the shape was gone, but they found what they thought were two footprints nearby.

Four people driving two jeeps on the inner perimeter road of Hopkins Prairie stopped when a large creature appeared about 100 to 150 yards away at the edge of a campground. They watched it walk around a small area with long arms swaying at its sides before it turned and walked into the campground and disappeared. They then went to the spot and found a footprint in wet ground and flattened grass with a stride too wide for a relative to match.

In 2014 the guest and a neighbor were handgun hunting at a dead-end road by a fence when they found large human-like footprints. They counted seven alternating tracks about one and a half times the guest's boot, each showing a small extra toe on the outside curling forward. Two companions were driving at night in a doorless vehicle when they made a wrong turn onto a dead-end road. As they turned around, the passenger alerted the driver to eyeshine behind a large tree caught in the headlights. The driver then saw large eyes about six feet off the ground and a large brown shape behind the tree. Both were frightened and did not get a prolonged look.

A witness and his two sons were leaving an area where they had been setting turtle lines when the witness saw a tall reddish biped near a dirt road about a quarter-mile away that stepped into the woods. He stopped without describing it aloud, and a son asked if he had also seen it, indicating the son had seen the same thing. They found two barefoot-like prints beside deer tracks at the spot, but rain covered them before photos could be taken.

The witness was hitchhiking and camped for the night in a hammock under a river bridge. During the night he heard unknown noises, a cough/grunt sound, whistles, rocks thrown toward him, and a very loud crash near his hammock. He smelled a skunk-like odor and felt watched as he packed up and left, then continued his trip by bus.

He reported hearing an unfamiliar screech/growl, answering wood knocks, loud stomping nearby, and a rock thrown past him, followed by crashing in the brush. He then found a very large bare footprint that he photographed with his shoe for scale before leaving quickly without ever seeing the source.

A lone hunter lying prone in a pine plantation in the early afternoon watched three tall dark figures cross about 10 yards in front of him. The figures walked upright in single file into a cypress swamp, after which loud banging sounds were heard from the swamp. At dusk in 2012 the witness was sitting alone in a tree stand during archery season. He heard a loud scream from a nearby swamp, then heard heavy footsteps circling behind him where he could not see. An object was thrown through the trees over him and a stone struck the tree he was in, after which he yelled toward the sounds and left for his truck.

A couple on a day trip to a lake house noticed an unusually large footprint in marshy mud beside the dock. They left the dock for a closer look and described a very deep right footprint about 11-12 inches long and 5 inches wide with well-formed toes, heading toward the lake.
