Strong odor, crunching footsteps and large human-like tracks found in snow
Overnight at a cabin, the wife noticed a strong odor, heard a metallic bang on the back porch and crunching footsteps moving toward the driveway. She woke her husband, who went outside with a flashlight and found a strong smell and large man-like footprints where frozen food stored under a wash tub had been disturbed. Investigators visited a week later, examined remaining tracks, took photographs and measurements, and collected hair.

In early spring 1976 the witness was walking alone in the morning along an old logging road toward a country store. At a crossroads the witness saw a very tall, thin hair-covered figure emerge from dense forest about 200 feet away and cross the road in two long upright strides before re-entering the forest. The witness froze in fear and then ran back in the opposite direction.

Two companions on their way to school in the morning saw two pale human-like figures standing at the edge of woods on a hill. The figures smelled like skunks and then wandered back into the woods. The witnesses estimated the figures' height against a tree limb and later reported finding nest-like structures nearby.
Bonney Lake
Late on a Friday night the residents called police to report someone sneaking near their home. The responding officer searched the grounds and found a human-looking left-foot track near the front porch, described as about 14 inches long. A resident later made a cast of the print, which the investigator photographed and which was later measured at about 16 3/4 inches long.

Several children riding bikes on a snow-covered dirt road reported seeing footprints and walked barefoot in the snow, getting their feet cold and wet. Their mother went to look and reported finding large human-like tracks in deep snow, which were photographed. A later examination documented a trackway of about two dozen large prints leading from a hill to the road.

They fled to a neighboring house, where the resident let them in and all three watched the figure stand in the front yard about 12 feet from the porch before it crossed the road and descended an embankment toward the river plain. Hearing rocks tumbling and then finding large fresh footprints crossing their recent path, they ran back to the vehicle. In October 1970, a teenager watching television indoors glanced toward a large picture window and reported a tall grey hair-covered figure standing very close outside staring in. The figure remained motionless while staring directly, with massive arms, reddish glowing eyes, and visible breathing. After the witness fled to another room, the figure was gone.

At about age 14 the guest sat leaning against the living room window watching TV. She turned and found a huge hairy biped less than three feet away on the other side of the glass staring at her. She felt paralyzed with fear while it breathed heavily with visible steam before a passing car startled her free.

On March 9, 1969, a group visiting a vacation property on Bear Creek found very large footprint-like depressions in deep snow. The tracks appeared to come from the campsite area and angle off toward the creek into trees, with a stride a tall adult could not match. The group left without further investigation, and the witness later notified the county sheriff, whose follow-up found additional tracks and produced casts.

The witness was sleeping in a cabin during a summer camp session when loud nighttime noises caused an uproar. A cabin-mate reportedly looked out and described multiple large, hairy, human-like figures near the water tower and cabins. The next morning the witness saw extensive human-like footprints, a large uprooted tree, and vegetation pulled from the lake. Campers were walked around the perimeter to view the traces and were sent home early.
"Brinson Monster"
In 1966 or 1967, several high school students parked at an abandoned farm in the evening reported seeing a tall light-colored upright animal with red eyes watching them. The story spread through the high school where it became known as the Brinson Monster. The narrator notes people at the time did not connect it to Bigfoot or Sasquatch.

The witness hiked alone in heavy snow above the timber line to a summit and then turned back along the same trail. On the descent the witness found very large bear-like tracks that appeared to have followed the ascent route and then joined the witness's trail. Frightened by the thought of being followed in winter conditions, the witness ran down the mountain and returned home without reporting the incident at the time.
