At dusk the witness's dog froze at a tree line and fled. The armed teenager pushed into a clearing and stood within fifteen feet of an eight-foot hairy biped moving leaves with its foot. A second shorter but still large individual joined it. The witness ran home and tracked both with friends the next morning until frost melted.

The witness was sitting quietly while squirrel hunting in Magoffin County in late September 1972 when he saw a large reddish-brown creature about 70 yards away. The creature walked away on two legs from right to left, pausing briefly to look around before continuing out of sight, apparently unaware of the witness. Afterward the witness found several large human-shaped footprints where the creature had walked.

Two companions sitting on a pipeline corridor heard alternating bird-like calls and wood-knock sounds for about 20 minutes that grew louder and seemed to come from very close by. When they stood to look, they saw a tall grey-haired animal about 20-30 yards away staring at them. Both the witnesses and the animal immediately fled, with the animal crashing in a straight line uphill through the woods.

The group chose not to pursue closely, later backtracked the trail toward the highway, and examined broken vegetation and footprints the following day.

Four ape-like animals repeatedly approached the trailers, peered in windows, vocalized at night, left tracks, damaged structures, and killed livestock. The father shot the largest animal in the shoulder near the pump house, after which the animals moved faster and more cautiously but continued the activity. Forestry and law-enforcement visitors reportedly told the father to stop shooting, and timber workers and well drillers also encountered the animals.

She ran screaming to the others, and the family hurriedly broke camp while an older brother fired shots as the creature circled and crossed the road. The witness was staying overnight at the family property and went outside about 2 a.m. to quiet barking kennel dogs. On the way out and again on the way back, the witness noticed a large silver-colored being sitting calmly on a woodpile and watching. The witness went inside, locked the door, awoke shaking three hours later, and later called a friend and drew what was seen.

As a child, the witness watched from a second-floor farmhouse window as a tall, hairy biped crossed the front yard uphill, repeatedly glancing back and briefly meeting his gaze before disappearing around the house. Frightened, he ran to his parents, and a relative and a companion went outside and found oversized footprints that they followed by car across a plowed field until the tracks led uphill toward the forest and disappeared.

The guest describes traveling with a companion to Northern California to look for footprints and riding out daily from a camp on Bluff Creek. On October 20 they rode up the creek bed and encountered a large muscular creature standing by the water, which the companion filmed while the guest covered him. They followed its scuffs and a partial footprint uphill, later protected tracks for others to see, and noted a strong musky odor.
