While driving home shortly after midnight, the witness encountered a hair-covered biped standing in a forest road and honked at it. The figure ran swiftly uphill along the road and then crashed through elderberry bushes and disappeared downslope. The next day the witness found prints in muddy holes in the road and broken bushes at the exit point.

Three people hunting near Falls Creek walked a game trail down to the creek to check the area where they had heard sounds the previous year. Along the trail they report many freshly snapped trees and two trees with twisted tops near a creek crossing. At the crossing they report four large, deep footprints with distinct wide toes coming up the bank from the water.

The witness was hiking with two dogs when he found a low shelter made from fallen trees with woven branches. Inside and around it he reported reddish hair, many large fibrous scat piles, snapped branches, and a single large bare footprint. His dogs acted nervous and one erased part of the track before it could be measured. He left the area without collecting samples and has not returned.
Possible intimidation in the Pine Barrens
The witness visited a pine forest site three times in the early morning. On the first visit he heard heavy footsteps retreating, smelled a skunk-like odor, and saw a rock thrown into water. On later visits he heard loud repeated calls and low moans, heard footsteps approach to within about 15 feet without seeing the source, had a large stick thrown near him, left food and recorded vocalizations, and noted indistinct footprints and large broken trees.

On Jan 14, the witness and his girlfriend hiked from the field across the creek to an old skidder trail. There they found large, widely spaced footprints in deep crunchy snow that the witness could only match at a semi-run and that crossed a fallen log without disturbing the snow on top. On a cool afternoon in February 2007, the witness and a companion hiked in the woods to look for clues about strange activity. After hearing wood knocks and tree breaks for several minutes, he spotted a tall figure about 200 yards away and viewed it through a rifle scope, describing an 8-foot upright figure with a flat face that smelled the air then ran off on two legs. He climbed down, found a large five-toed human-like track where it had slid, heard whoops from two directions, and left the area.
