The witness camped alone in her van at a rustic campground during storms. Deer ran toward her then fled after looking toward the treeline, where she saw a high pair of large forward-facing eyes. After trying brighter lights she got in the van to get thermal, closed the slider, and heard a loud growl very close. She stayed quiet overnight hearing howls and screams, and her friend found suspicious tracks and hair the next morning.

At dusk the witness and her mother saw a bear-like shape near the ranch house stand up into a very tall bipedal creature. The group confronted it, heard loud hissing and a loud bellow-whoop as it quickly climbed a rock face and disappeared. The next day measurements suggested 10 to 12 feet tall, with a heavy foot impression and dark hair found in the area.

Ten people renting a cabin heard branch-breaking noises, bangs, sounds like throwing, and strange howls after midnight, along with a foul outdoor odor. Four of the group then saw a large black bipedal figure in a field in front of the cabin that turned and went back into the woods. With his coworker and brother-in-law the witness revisited the pond area to find it bulldozed, a track with missing toes, and a large log thrown into the pond with no drag marks. After sitting into the evening coyotes sounded, then a deep howl ending in a growl silenced them followed by a tree knock. The brother-in-law went quiet for days.

On September 3, 2017, the witness and two companions were picnicking and hiking in forest land near Colville National Forest. During a daytime walk in a dry creek bed, the witness and a companion found two large human-like footprints. That evening at dusk from near their parked vehicle, they made howl calls and tree knocks and heard two howl responses from different directions.

The witness and a roommate were on the back porch at night when they heard very loud howling and repeated whooping sounds coming from the creek. The sounds continued for about 15-20 minutes, moving up and down the creek without fading. The witness described the calls as clear, very loud, and reminiscent of a mother calling a child home, and said it was unlike anything heard before.

Later rocks were flicked at the truck and next morning a muddy hand smudge and many tracks were found.

The guest was alone having a barbecue at a ridge lookout in a national park when he heard fast unintelligible voices that fell silent after he called out. After a long silence he saw yellow eyeshine in the gully, then a large hairy upright figure by a tree, followed by a second smaller eyeshine, thumping sounds and a long loud howl. While driving slowly away down a rocky track he felt something shunt the back of his car but saw nothing when he braked.

On a November afternoon hunt, the witness heard loud yelling mixed with growls and screams nearby and recorded trees breaking and heavy pounding footsteps approaching. Deer in the area fled as the sounds got closer, and the witness left quickly. Cattle in a nearby pasture were later seen huddled far from the sounds.

The witness was in bed late at night when barking dogs prompted them to go outside. They saw a dog run under the porch and something retreat into the woods. After shouting and tossing a small stone into the trees, the witness heard a shriek/howl and the stone was thrown back to land at their feet. The witness ran inside, then returned with a flashlight to find twisted vegetation and snapped branches and noted a foul smell.

The witness and a relative were night fishing while parked in their car when they heard loud howling and grunting that grew closer. After waiting, they drove away and their headlights illuminated a very tall, hairy biped crossing the road in long strides before going under a bridge toward the water.

On the first night outside the house he reported paired knocking sounds, stones hitting the roof, and a brief glimpse of gray movement. The next day he found two partial human-like footprints in a steep bank near a trail. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.

Two deer hunters hiking back to camp at dusk near Heart Lake heard loud bellowing howls and watched a deer flee through brush. They then saw a tall dark figure on the ridgeline that first resembled a standing bear but looked like neither a bear nor a man through a rifle scope. The figure ran downhill after the deer and disappeared into brush, and the hunters later found a very large footprint where it had stood.
