The witness hiked to a deserted mine on a mountain in the afternoon and encountered an upright hair-covered female creature at close range. The creature approached, squatted to strip and eat leaves, noticed the witness, vocalized, and walked away into timber, later appearing briefly on a distant ridge. The witness considered shooting it for science but refrained, then examined droppings and a bedding spot.

As a young teenager bringing cows across a canal near dark, the diarist saw a large bear-like figure standing on hind feet by a sapling 600-700 feet away and felt intense chill. Cows were undisturbed and his father was unconcerned. Next morning with his friend [name withheld] he found a huge bare footprint in wet mud under the sapling, estimated 8.5-9 feet tall using [name withheld]'s height, and nearby found a stick-bed with a strong repulsive odor.

They heard a very loud rumbling growling howl the witness had never heard before, which frightened them and ended their search. She and others hear footsteps pacing them along the tree line, loud crashing movement, screeching sounds and cracking noises, often accompanied by a strange smell. An investigator later visited, interviewed family members and noted unusual stick and vegetation features in the woods.

The witness and a companion were walking a dirt trail by a canal to find a bass spot while looking down to avoid snakes. They saw large brown legs cross the trail ahead and noticed branches rustling in a nearby group of trees, which the witness attributed to a sasquatch watching them. Scared, they backed away slowly and left the area.
Scary encounters outside a rural home near Jackson
The witness and a companion were camping in a tent on the witness's driveway in mid-October. Around 2 a.m. under a full moon, the witness awoke to grunting and snapping trees and saw a large hair-covered figure striking and eating a deer, then dragging it uphill. The figure approached the tent, giving off a strong musky odor and knocking a frying pan from a tree before leaving. In the morning the witness found deer remains, drag marks, and a shelter-like structure of bent and broken pines.

While hiking with a friend over a high pass at night, the witness found a large pool of blood on the trail and a short distance off-trail a freshly dead antlered deer with no visible bullet or arrow wounds. Nearby the witness noticed thin trees woven into a teepee-like structure with trampled grass at its base. The witness felt watched while leaving the area and later wondered if the structure marked the kill location.

A helicopter pilot pulling logs spotted a creature creeping toward the crew's stored lunches and warned the crew by radio. The crew chased it off. Later investigation found tracks and freshly picked vegetation piled like bedding under a low rock shelf.

The witness's wife heard shaking around the chicken coop then limb breaking in the front woods, believing two individuals were present. Days later the witness found a teepee-like limb structure and a path blocked by placed limbs. He also noted a taller similar structure in the back woods near where he had seen the figure.

His friend climbed to peer inside and came face-to-face with a hair-covered, bear-like but man-like creature using a stick, then fled in terror to camp. The group stayed the night under guard and were told something large circled camp all night before they evacuated at dawn.

While on the property at dusk, a group member saw the upper torso and muscular shoulder of a dark figure with some grayish-white move downward and disappear into a thick valley. A later daytime check found an area of engineered canopy forming crawling tunnels, which the group calls an underground system.

They brought the father back in the truck and all saw it in the headlights by the barricades as it walked then ran and vanished. Parked by a substation they heard very loud heavy running they could not see, then heard a deep loud roar several times and left.

With her husband home, the guest heard a loud owl overhead answered from across the driveway by a second owl-like call that cracked. She took burst phone photos toward the woodline in the dark and on brightening saw a boxy standing figure looking toward her. The next morning she found deadfall trees newly lined along the driveway and tested that stepping over the line triggered the garage motion light, concluding the line marked the light's boundary.

During a late-August stay, the witness heard dog-like barking that shifted into loud bellowing and back-and-forth arguing voices, including a low male tone and higher voice. On a subsequent evening the same exchange recurred and included clear help me phrases that the witness felt were non-human mimicry. The next morning broken trees and a large X structure were noted, and the X later disappeared.
