Local resident has close range daylight road crossing encounter 8mi W of Natchitoches
The witness was driving home and turned onto a dirt road when a tall, russet-brown, hair-covered figure crossed the road about 50 feet ahead. It cleared the road in two or three steps and disappeared into pine trees. The sighting occurred about an hour before dark in clear, hot weather.

The witness was driving west on a gravel road in the afternoon when a brownish-red creature crossed the road south to north a short distance ahead. The witness estimated it at 6-7 feet tall and over 300 pounds, moving very fast in a few steps with arms pumping and a hunched posture. The witness stopped at the crossing point but noted no odor and found no tracks due to hard ground.
