A couple sleeping in their parked SUV at a logging-road campsite were awakened around 2:30 a.m. when the wife felt a firm touch on her leg through a partially open rear window and then heard light footfalls moving away. Neither witness saw anything when listening and peeking out. In the morning they found very large muddy fingerprints on the vehicle near the window.

Two companions scouting a conservation area spotted a large dark bipedal figure about 150 to 200 yards away on a trail. The figure crouched, swayed, then moved quickly to the right and disappeared. The men went to the spot and found a very large fresh footprint and freshly broken small trees.

After midnight an on-duty officer searching for a stolen snowmobile along a river heard loud crashing and heavy running in a treeline. He then found large human-like footprints in snow, with two larger sets and one smaller set, showing a long stride and signs of running. He and two deputies photographed the tracks and interpreted the trail as individuals scouting, pausing, and circling before leaving, then withdrew from the area.

The larger prints were measured at 13 to 14 inches long with strides over five feet, while smaller prints were interpreted as a juvenile. Photos and measurements were taken before melt and wind degraded the tracks.

The driver watched it with binoculars while the passenger attempted cell-phone photos, observing for about two to two-and-a-half minutes as it crossed right to left then turned uphill with long strides and swinging arms. Both described it as much larger than a person and moving at a running pace despite a relaxed walking gait.

Two companions were hunting coyotes at night when one was paralleled in the woods by something that returned his whistles. After reuniting they drove toward the house and illuminated a tall shaggy biped in the field below the barn. They watched it briefly in the headlights before it turned and walked into a cedar thicket while their dog chased it a short way and returned.

Most nights they heard moaning/howling and reciprocal wood knocks that seemed to move closer, and one night heard growls outside the tent but saw nothing when they rushed out with guns and flashlights. Twice they returned from hunting to find trees blocking or inside camp, including a large healthy green pine pushed over. After losing sleep they left for a family cabin and returned next morning to find the tent zipper partly open with the lantern still on.

The view lasted about two seconds at highway speed, revealing a very tall, thick bipedal figure that appeared dark with no discernible features. The witness, who said they had not previously believed in such beings, reported being shaken and convinced by what they saw.

After reaching a logging clearing with empty cabins, they turned to see the back of a tall dark-haired biped before hurrying to a paved road where workers directed them out.

Four people driving two jeeps on the inner perimeter road of Hopkins Prairie stopped when a large creature appeared about 100 to 150 yards away at the edge of a campground. They watched it walk around a small area with long arms swaying at its sides before it turned and walked into the campground and disappeared. They then went to the spot and found a footprint in wet ground and flattened grass with a stride too wide for a relative to match.

After hearing something large move away through the woods, the witness noticed a single large footprint on the hard trail surface and photographed it. A loud crash in the trees overhead then frightened the witness, who left the area quickly.

The witness claims a tall creature stood up, growled, and trees fell as the group fled to their truck, then saw the creature walking in front of the gravel road watching them. The group later returned and reported finding tracks, broken trees and unusual intertwined structures.
