The witness and a companion were clearing branches in a logged area behind the house when they found rock piles and ten small grass bundles containing field mice. The dogs became agitated and a thrown rock struck the witness's hand. No animal was seen, but wood-on-wood knocking was heard several times over the next few hours.

A family visiting their newly purchased wooded property for a picnic found a large bare footprint on a mowed slope. The witness's spouse spotted the print after the witness had walked over it without noticing. The witness then moved forward to the spot with the relatives and later compared the figure's size to a relative, estimating it much taller and wider.

The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

The witness went out in the morning to feed dogs kept away from the house and noticed a large barefoot footprint in patchy melting snow. After finding only one clear print, the witness and two relatives searched the surrounding area by ATV and located a second, more melted print some distance away. The witness and a companion were hiking out after a multi-day camping trip when they found a large barefoot-like print in mud, with additional fainter tracks continuing along the trail, and took a single cellphone photo. That night while sheltering in a trail cabin with a poncho rigged over an open window, the covering was pulled open and a securing board was knocked onto a camper despite no observed wind. The witness noted the nighttime disturbance could have been a bear, but also noted a food-strewn garbage bag was left untouched.

The witness was hiking on a new gravel path through a forest preserve at lunchtime. In wet crushed gravel that preserved other footprints, the witness noticed bare footprints about 13 inches long with five toes that appeared deeper than shoe prints and traced them back to thick grass. There he cast a long trail of large prints in mud that he felt matched the earlier casts in size and shape. While hiking in that second area he saw a thin, bright orange creature from the chest up cross a closed road and run smoothly without head bob.

The witness was deer hunting from a stand overlooking a clear-cut valley in the morning. The witness heard loud crashing and branch-breaking as a large unseen animal ran down the opposite slope, chased a deer, and killed it after the deer cried out three times. The witness could not cross the creek to investigate and later left, having earlier photographed a 20-foot tree found jammed upside-down in the ground.

The witness and a companion were hunting and scouting in a swampy wildlife management area. After hearing something large run off unseen, they found a single fresh human-like barefoot print in mud beside a puddle. They photographed the print and marked the spot, and also noted distant squirrel alarm calls that moved closer then fell silent.
Possible wood knocks heard by a photographer near Quitman
The witness left a cabin on foot to photograph the lake and fall colors. While walking back toward the cabin he heard loud, rhythmic wood-on-wood knocks coming from a wooded, hilly area. The knocks stopped when he stopped to look and resumed briefly when he walked again. He saw no source, noted no odor, and heard no other vocalizations.

The witness was doing senior photos at a lake with two companions when rocks were repeatedly thrown into the water from across the lake, accompanied by tree knocks and limb breaking. The group took burst photos toward the sounds and then left the area. At home the witness found what he believed to be a black orangutan-faced figure holding a white object in two of the photos, plus a possible smaller shape in a tree.

The witness was driving home from fishing with two companions around 12:50 a.m. when they spotted a large hair-covered figure with its head in a roadside trash can. They pulled close and watched it run on all fours then stand and walk on two legs in their headlights before it escaped behind a building toward a creek. A footprint was left behind and later photographed.

The witness was driving past a hunting area in the dark with bright headlights on. A large black hairy biped ran across the road from one woodline to the other in three leaps with a bent-kneed stride. It turned its head toward the vehicle but facial details could not be made out except deep-set eyes.

The witness was driving back down a logging road in the afternoon after looking for old mines to prospect. A rock thrown from the wooded hillside struck the roof of the vehicle and left a dent. After stopping and getting out, the witness saw a large dark creature moving up the hill into the trees. The witness believed the creature had thrown the rock.

The witness was camping on owned property along the river [name withheld] the dogs stayed agitated overnight. The next morning a line of prints was found in mud by the river that appeared to come out of the water and go back in downstream. The witness photographed the prints and made a plaster cast, reporting them at about 13 by 4 inches.
Possible trackway found and photographed near Brandon
The witness was driving back roads after collecting mail when a line of large footprints was noticed on a dirt road. The witness brought a companion to view the trackway and both took photographs, returning the next day for more photos, measurements, and plaster casts. The trackway reportedly ran along the road for about three-quarters of a mile, entering and leaving adjacent fields, with large dimensions and a long stride.

A couple hiking in the woods heard a close grunt and brief heavy movement, then continued on. About an hour later on the return leg they found six fresh, very deep human-like barefoot prints with deer tracks in hard mud where they had seen nothing earlier. They took cell phone photos, grew uneasy and disoriented, and left by a different path without seeing any animal or person.

They heard knocking sounds followed by loud screaming from two unseen sources in dense brush that seemed to move toward them. The witness hid hoping to photograph the sources, but noise caused the sounds to stop and move away. No creatures were seen, and a search found only flattened grass and broken branches.
