During a severe nighttime windstorm with power out, the witness looked out an upstairs window toward a chicken coop and saw a tall dark bipedal figure silhouetted against the coop. The figure faced the house then turned and left quickly toward the woods. Household members downstairs and upstairs simultaneously heard guttural howl-like and whoop-like sounds with growls, and dogs barked intensely. Next morning a heavy trash bin lid was found displaced opposite the wind direction with trash bags missing and a trash trail into the woods.

The head stared for several seconds, turned away briefly as if distracted, then looked back. Frightened, the witness turned away, asked it to leave, and did not look back.

About 3 a.m. the witness, sleeping in a vehicle, woke to rustling and watched a large dark figure hunched over the picnic table going through bags and trash from about 15 feet away. Companions in tents heard rustling and grunting. In the morning there was no scattered trash, but a charcoal bag showed marks and some contents missing.

After calling for help, the witness with two relatives found footprints along the road and photographed them. While photographing they saw green eye-shine above the brush and a large upright shadowy outline, then heard wood knocks, growling and heavy footsteps before the eyes disappeared.

A shadowy fur-covered biped stood up about 30 feet away and walked calmly across the road before disappearing into vegetation. Around midnight the witness was with two friends in a small forest near the house when they heard a large branch snap. The witness saw a tall outline about 15 to 20 feet away leaning with one arm against a tree and staring, then it turned and walked toward the road while the witness ran. Companions did not see the figure, and the next day the witness found fresh paths and broken and uprooted trees in the area.

The dog alerted toward the treeline, then the witness heard a loud howl and wood-on-wood sounds very close and glimpsed a figure by a tree. After going back inside and leaving again, the witness heard footsteps in the dark and saw a huge dark upright figure moving along the fence and driveway by a pond, later noticing a foul odor and disturbed leaves in the area.

Late at night the witness stepped onto the porch for a smoke and heard an unfamiliar terrifying vocalization. Shining a light, the witness saw the silhouette of a tall bipedal figure near the pond that stood up and ran off, with vocalizations continuing fainter into the distance. A relative living in the house came outside and heard the final vocalization and a distant gunshot, and another relative later arrived to find the area empty.

The witness was driving east on Highway 2 east of Ball Club late at night when she noticed a large brown hairy figure standing off the side of the road. The figure appeared to be waiting to cross toward a nearby lake and did not look at her vehicle. She continued driving without stopping and later returned in daylight but remained in her vehicle.

Near dawn a very tall hair-covered female-like figure stood by the tent and walked rapidly toward the witness despite additional warning shots, then ran away over granite and out of sight. The witness remained in place until daylight and then hiked out.

Late at night the witness went to check on children sleeping in a bedroom that opens onto a porch against a wooded hillside. A motion light came on and the witness saw a tall, dark, shaggy creature standing on two legs at the window, partly obscured by a blind. The figure stood briefly, then left toward the woods. The next morning the witness found slide marks in mud on the hillside but no clear footprints.

On June 20, 2004 around 2 a.m., the witness was watching TV at home when she noticed a large dark shadow looking in through full-length windows facing the woods. The shape moved when she turned off the TV, and she remained in the recliner overnight. The witness saw a large shadow moving on the slope in moonlight, heard breathing and stomping, and smelled a musky sour odor. After revving the truck engine the sounds crashed rapidly downhill, and the pair left, seeing deer run across the road as they drove out.
Couple has early evening encounter at home near Forsyth
Late one summer evening in 1998, a couple lying in bed in their trailer heard repeated loud screams and their dogs became highly agitated. The husband went outside with a flashlight and saw red-orange eyeshine well above normal human face height, then a tall upright shadow running toward the southwest. No further screams occurred and the dogs stayed agitated for 10-15 minutes. The couple decided not to call emergency services.

The witness and a companion were camping in a tent at Alexander Springs. After playing cards until about 3 a.m., the companion fell asleep while the witness lay awake. The witness heard surrounding animal sounds fall silent, smelled a skunk-like odor, saw a tall upright shadow on the tent wall and heard a grunt-like noise. In the morning the coolers had been ransacked, and the pair left the campground early the next night after feeling uneasy.

The witness was waiting for the morning bus in foggy, dim light when a large dark figure emerged from behind the approaching bus. The figure ran quickly across an open sagebrush valley toward ponderosa trees and the nearby forest, disappearing behind houses.
