The witness was driving back down a logging road in the afternoon after looking for old mines to prospect. A rock thrown from the wooded hillside struck the roof of the vehicle and left a dent. After stopping and getting out, the witness saw a large dark creature moving up the hill into the trees. The witness believed the creature had thrown the rock.

The witness stopped his ATV on a forest trail to wait for a slower companion. Small rocks began striking the vehicle, and he saw a tall dark hair-covered figure about 70-90 feet away rise from a low position to standing. A thud was heard and felt on the road and a boulder that had not been there when they drove in was found in the road. They later heard a very large animal moving away breaking branches, found no sign after sunrise, and left to hunt elsewhere.

On a Friday night during an archery-hunt camping trip, the witness and a relative sat by the campfire while two unseen presences circled the camp, breaking branches, pacing, and making heavy footsteps. Small rocks and sticks were then thrown into camp, including a softball-sized rock that landed nearby, followed by impacts on a food box and the trailer. Others sheltering in the trailer also heard footsteps, breaking branches, impacts, and a heavy sigh, and later a branch-like object was dragged across the trailer roof.

The witness stayed awake afraid until daylight and left quickly in the morning.

A group walking on a path by a closed campground at night heard something large crashing through trees alongside them. A very large rock then landed a few feet away with enough force to vibrate the ground, followed by a loud growl. The group left the area immediately.

The witness was driving on a gravel mountain road in the early morning when he saw a small dark animal sitting in the road. A tall brown-haired female came from the woods, picked up the juvenile and carried it back into the trees. After the witness got out of his car a rock struck the car and a much larger dark individual appeared behind the car, vocalized loudly, then crossed the road into the woods. The witness drove a short distance ahead, stopped, heard movement in the woods and had more small rocks thrown toward him before leaving.

While camping alone at night near a stream, the witness heard a deep growl and saw a crouched dark mass at the treeline, fired warning shots, then heard rocks repeatedly splashing in the stream for hours and heard deep oof sounds on a later approach. Near dawn a very tall hair-covered female-like figure stood by the tent and walked rapidly toward the witness despite additional warning shots, then ran away over granite and out of sight. The witness remained in place until daylight and then hiked out.

Three people were fishing at night at a pool on a river near a bridge when they saw a frightened coyote run past and heard splashes. A large dark figure standing waist-deep in the river about 40 yards away then threw boulders toward them, with the closest landing a few yards away and splashing water on them. The group shouted, reeled in their lines, and fled through trees and a field to their car. They returned the next day and judged the water depth and boulders inconsistent with a person.

Alone at a primitive mining camp on a warm spring day, the witness heard huge rocks splashing into the river with ground concussion, then wood breaking behind the trailer. Dogs stared down a trail as a large dark shadow crossed it in one step with heavy thumping footsteps. A partner later measured the crossing height at just over eight feet and found freshly twisted saplings and missing riverside boulders.

In February 1977 five youths camped in two VW buses at a remote, densely forested campground in the Trinity Alps. On two consecutive nights around 10:30 p.m., something rushed down the steep hill behind camp and violently rocked the bus the witness slept in. The first morning packs were found strewn and torn open; the second night a large boulder was found wedged behind the bus tire and the other bus had shifted about five feet toward the river. The group reported seeing nothing because windows were iced over, noting only hillside skid marks, rushing noises, and a brief strong odor before leaving early.

The witness recalls numerous puzzling occurrences from 30-40 years ago on a family farm of about 100 acres with orchards and woods. These included trees reportedly moved to block trails, an elaborate woven arch structure, large human-like footprints with long strides, rocks and a branch thrown near the witness, loud clicking exchanges, and nighttime disturbances around the barn and house. No creature was reportedly seen clearly, and the interpretation as possible Sasquatch activity developed over later years.

The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.

Late at night after a loud bang on the van and seeing a shadow, nearby campers fled, then the group watched a tall hairy biped with a dog-like snout descend a rocky ridge, heard a loud growl, and were pelted with gravel before fleeing the park before dawn.

While caddying on a private golf course in 1960, the witness says a large soil-stained boulder fell vertically through a tree beside the 13th green and nearly struck a golfer. The fall was heard tearing through branches and leaves. He questioned the initial explanation of quarry blasting because the single rock was soil-stained rather than freshly quarried and fell straight down rather than scattering.

At about age ten the caller was squirrel hunting alone with a pellet gun on the property. Something struck him in the back of the shoulder, then a white marble rock landed in front of him. He noted there were no natural rocks there except white marble in his grandparents' driveway about fifty to seventy yards away.

A small research team camped for five days on the Missouri property to document ongoing rock-throwing activity. At night rocks repeatedly struck the tent, table, chairs and vehicle from a ridge above. The team marked piles of rocks with marker and later found marked rocks thrown into camp, along with foot tracks and a handprint.
