Two people fishing from a dock in the evening heard a powerful roaring scream from the west along the lake. About half a minute later a fisherman came running from the direction of the sound, appearing panicked. The two joined him and all three ran together back to the nearby campground, where he said something had been right next to him. They then broke camp and drove home.

They observed it at close range across a creek for several minutes in bright sunlight, noting its height, hair, facial features and build.
