On Christmas night 2021, the letter writer's mother and [name withheld] heard something creeping outside an open bedroom window. It growled and made speech-like sounds. It reportedly returned the next night. The host played cleaned-up audio where nothing is visible but a voice-like sound is claimed.

A few days later around midday a massive dark bipedal figure was seen leaning from behind a tree, was photographed, then left with heavy steps and a foul smell as the phone camera failed. That evening and the next night loud echoing vocalizations and loud bird-like whistles were heard while deer disappeared and the woods went silent.

On a November afternoon hunt, the witness heard loud yelling mixed with growls and screams nearby and recorded trees breaking and heavy pounding footsteps approaching. The eyes retreated deeper, dropped low and disappeared while the group returned to the cottage.

The witness was walking in woods near home and sat on a fallen tree when a strange grunting sound was heard to the left. The witness was frightened and called for a parent to come meet in the woods. No creature was seen.
Farmers record interesting vocalizations west of Clare
The witness reports repeatedly hearing unfamiliar sounds at a central Michigan farm over the prior summer, often while doing outdoor animal chores at night with two other people. A team of four was conducting a nighttime sound survey from a clear-cut overlooking a river valley while one member did a live radio interview from a parked vehicle near the treeline. The interviewer heard repeated charging sounds, footfalls and a grunt-growl from dense brush a few feet away while two teammates uphill watched with a night-vision device. The uphill observers reported a huge 8-foot-plus figure about 25 feet away leaning side to side to look through the trees and moving its arms. The episode lasted about 30 minutes, followed later by a distant scream, and a next-day search found disturbed soil but no footprints.

The witness and others were inside a makeshift shelter at a remote mountain camp at night with microphones placed outside. Loud rock clacking and snarling sounds were heard from about fifty feet away. The group remained inside with firearms, uncertain what the creatures intended.

On a fall evening just before dusk, the witness, then a child, and the father were at their farm when the father heard a loud disturbance in a wooded valley below a field. The father took a tape recorder and walked toward the sounds of a loud growling/roaring creature apparently fighting a neighbor's dog while the child waited uphill by a feed trough. The creature was never seen because it was too dark in the woods, and the father returned uphill. The neighbor's dog was never seen again.
Former Michigan native recalls possible activity near National City
When the witness was about nine, she was walking with an older neighbor girl in the back portion of family property. Something nearby growled loudly at them, and after they walked about 200 feet into the front pasture it growled and shrieked again. The companion looked, exclaimed, then grabbed the witness and ran with her to the house. The witness never learned what the companion may have seen, and the companion never walked there with her again.

Alone at Pine Glen Campground, the witness set up his camera and immediately heard a loud growl. Birds were chirping in summer conditions, but scanning with the camera revealed nothing around. The growl was captured on camera audio.
Howl near Kendall County
During a fall visit with abundant hogs, the witness and a visitor experienced heightened activity. A recording captured multiple loud howls at once while barbecuing. The visitor was later chased from the woods to a vehicle, and the pair were growled at, more aggressive than prior encounters.
Tracks in Missouri
The same truck-driver couple described ongoing activity at a cabin property they bought about three years ago on the outskirts of Mark Twain National Forest. After a few months all regular wildlife stopped visiting, and motion cameras began triggering nightly around 10-11 with nothing visible but low growls and a distant siren-like scream that set dogs barking. They also found footprints with toe ridges, fresh tree breaks, bent and intertwined trees, and a semi-circular stacked-log structure of large broken trees behind the property.
Vehicle contact in Washington
The film crew parked an RV at the mountain encounter area during rainy weather and sent one member up the hill. Later they recorded tapping sounds on the vehicle, saw a possible light on night vision, and heard distant vocalizations. Around early morning two members heard a deep growl very close to the vehicle and retreated inside.
Vocalization
Around 2 a.m. the guest heard clicking and movement around tents and vehicles. After hours of activity, something lifted a Dutch oven lid, charged 30 feet, pushed a fist through his tent window and then pushed its face inches from his. He held a pistol, heard a voice telling him to kick his legs, did so, and the group left chirping. Urine, prints and handprints were found.
Rock throwing in Texas
The witness spent the night alone by a bridge cooking fish. Stones were repeatedly thrown from both sides of the road, with one leaving a mark on the vehicle. A loud smack on the metal bridge, a growl, and a large crash in the woods were also heard and recorded. The witness stayed all night talking aloud to cope and now avoids going alone.
