The witness was hiking down a mountain road at dusk. Near the 10th Mountain trail he saw a large dark shape move a few feet sideways then crouch down, showing what looked like head and shoulders. As he continued toward the parking lot he heard branch snaps from the woods on both sides of the road.

The witness was clearing a trail by a swamp when they heard two splashes from across the water without seeing the source. While on the phone, they saw a football-sized rock fly through the air about three-quarters of the way across the swamp and land in the water. No creature was seen, only the rock in flight and the splashes.

The witness returned to the site with a relative in a vehicle, recorded video, and both watched the figure leave toward pines. An investigator later visited, marked the reported head height at over eight feet, and found no tracks in fresh snow.

A couple hiking in the woods heard a close grunt and brief heavy movement, then continued on. About an hour later on the return leg they found six fresh, very deep human-like barefoot prints with deer tracks in hard mud where they had seen nothing earlier. They took cell phone photos, grew uneasy and disoriented, and left by a different path without seeing any animal or person.

The figure walked parallel to the woods and then turned into the trees, disappearing after several seconds. The driver slowed and both occupants stared into the woods, with the companion thinking dark movement was visible among the trees.

Late at night the witness and a companion were driving north when they noticed a very large, dark, tall figure standing motionless on the side of the road facing east. The outline stood out in the darkness and its eyes reflected a white/silvery light. Both occupants were shocked and spoke little about it afterward.

In December 1977 the witness and a companion were riding a snowmobile on a fire road near a swamp to a cabin. When they turned the sled around, the witness saw a large dark hair-covered biped cross the road in front of them in about two steps, swinging its arms. The creature looked at them, then quickened its pace into the woods.
