The witness was hiking down a mountain road at dusk. Near the 10th Mountain trail he saw a large dark shape move a few feet sideways then crouch down, showing what looked like head and shoulders. As he continued toward the parking lot he heard branch snaps from the woods on both sides of the road.

An investigator visited the marked locations in comparable conditions, scanned with a thermal imager, saw deer, and found no Bigfoot sign or odor.
